Every December the Family, adults and children, goes to the panto, always at the same theatre, a couple of days before Christmas, last one was 22nd December 2019. I have just received the notification for the next one in December 2020. Wow, only eleven months to book seats, must rush ! Get those Christmas decorations back up ! Order the Turkey and ginger wine !

I presume that you are aware of the explanation that when you are a youngster, a year is a greater percentage of your life than when you are a mature adult, therefore it seems to be longer when you are young than how it seems in your dotage.

Hence when mother said :
"He's seven", you would reply indignantly and immediately : "I'm seven and five months."
Now when someone asks me how old I am I have to think for a few seconds!

I prefer to not have to think about it any more.

But at the other end, being kept waiting is a waste of a greater percentage of what you have left!

It’s the CNY rage going on here and even the protesting Unwashed I’ve been told will cease wrecking the infrastructure during the 2 weeks of the locals bumming around and shops closed.

Absolutely, when I was 1 year old, a year was 100% of my total experience, no it's only an 85th. The years do get shorter.
