From where I am standing, miles away from the busfires I can tell you the rain was beyond torrential!

Dry where we are too. I believe it’s my turn:

Thais Are Burning

Out where the mountain broke
North Thailand and tons of Coke
Underarms and boiling chicken
Cook in forty-five degrees.

The sky’s an arse, it’s always fair
We want our rain, the ground’s all bare.
The plants are sparse, the grass all dead
It belongs to us, we need it fed.

How can I drink when the ‘shine is burning?
How do we sleep with those aircons churning?
How can we Cub when the ISA’s stirring?
How to stay cool while the trees aren’t ferning?

The time has come to have Cee Bees
To have our floods now, not melt our cheese.

AKs scare the garden gnomes
The gunshots shake all the homes
The Slasher wife cooks outside
And fortifies the breeze.

The time may come, might go berserk
And confiscate...a water Herc
The cops will come, take my C.P.L.
It belongs to me - blame the Soutpi-el.*

How can we rest with the Gob in jail?
Will he get fed and receive his email?

The weather's dry and not so good
I’d dance for rain.. if I could
Climate changers count the beans
Which fortifies the Greens!
🎵

* TGG no less!

Four litres per M2 inland last night here. Now ferocious thunderstorm to end Gloria's ravages. Sun to follow they say.

Had a brief heavy thunderstorm this morning, with plenty of lightning south & west of us, but not here. Now cloudy, smoke haze & smell.

Not so far, TGG, but the humidity went off the dial this afternoon. (OK, slight exaggeration, probably about 80%, will check in the morning.)
