Nope. As early as 1821 they were all listed in a big book.

A quick historical inflation calculation shows that taxis then were about the same price as now, approx 7 quid a mile, for short journeys. Longer journeys are actually cheaper now.

Can't answer the question, though!

Bet my brother could, since he is a London Cabbie; and also licenced to do the historical tours, so he's full of this stuff.

As the question is being asked it must be a significant one, I am certain more than 100 years and I don't think it's 200 so a stab at 150 y o .
