They are your egg-laying mammals, aren't they? Like the Platypus and the Echidna; and there may be another, if there is, its name escapes me.

He was a horse and Roman Senate nominee belonging to (I think) Caligula.

Thanks.

If you travel "South until the butter melts, then turn right", where will you end up?

I suspect you have margarine, not butter.
Quite a bit further south.

Somewhere on the west coast of the Atlantic?

I have heard it in connection with sailing.

It may be a line from a book but I am not sure.

Right general area, could you get a little more specific?

I'll go for somewhere in the West Indies but, if it is from a book, then, perhaps, it is a specifc harbour.

No doubt Mr Google has the answer but I consider that cheating.

The West Indies is quite correct.
The saying reputedly dates back to the early Transatlantic crossings, and was a guide on where to pick up the Trade Winds, south of the Canaries.
And I can personally confirm that it works, as I kept some butter out to check, and it started to melt the very day all the modern goodies told me it was the right time to turn.

All yours!

More than that, it is correctly a sea mist on the North East coast of Scotland and Northern England. Specific to that location.

I think Wodrick wins the prize.

Well done, your turn.

When I lived to the north of Aberdeen, it surprised me that at this time of the year the haar occurred often, compared to the rest of the year.
