For something to fill in those idle hours may i suggest The Sampson Boat Co restoring an 109 year old English Gaff Cutter TALLY HO. I am no sailor,but 3 years ago when the restoration started I watched about 5 or so episodes and became hooked.The young now owner has been recording the restoration process and explaining each and every process as he restores the boat, from the woodworking,foundry casting of the brass parts to lofting of ribs and it holds one's interest.I have just watched the latest episode (No 93)and look forward to the next in appox.2 weeks.The restoration now has an world wide following that supplies the funds for the project.Well worth watching. The Sampson Boat Co You Tube. A few episodes for your enjoyment.
