Sorry, I forgot about that part. I was on the Albert planning side when we had to take over from the Pumas dropping off troops and vehicles at the assembly points. The Army had kindly welded steel plates to the undersides of their Land rovers and the Pumas struggled to start hot and high and, in any case, the loads were too heavy.

Typical military joint service planning back then.

Fun side was lots of air landed trips for an enhanced fleet of Albert's.

That was, after the LOX bottles had been removed!

Mine was the one wot looked like a fukkin raspberry ripple with my address painted on the side so that the nasties could come and get me in kinEssex.

If the US had been a democracy they'd have ended up with Hilary at the last election ..........
Couldn't have been worse than the eventual result, could it ?
