Didn't seem quickly, I called them nymphs first, there's a lot of nymphs, then I noticed the wings and changed to angels.
OH as I have nothing to hand and a lunch to prepare.

Topically, might it be Kabul?

What a delightful child, mind - sod the sculpture!

I think that is Shekou Mermaid Statue in Shenzhen.
Been in data comm since we formed the bits individually with a Morse key.

There are several nice bushes to set the statue and plinth off...

Maybe a clue is required.

Mrs S is in the gyrocopter, ticking off an item on her bucket list during a European holiday a few years ago. Somewhere the sun shines, the beaches have golden sand and there are many golf courses for the non-beach folk.

Gran Canarias, the small airport to the left of the road from the main airport to Playa del Ingles?

Talma, not Gran Canarias, not Spain, but mainland Europe not a million miles from Spain.

om, I don't think so...but it is possible, my memory does fail sometimes with the advancing years!

Golf courses make me think of the Algarve, google implies you can rent gyrocopters at Faro Airport.

Been there once, for 45 minutes, many years ago (probably a VC10 when the Tridents had wing structural problems, 1970s).

OH if correct.
