Some of our number may have flown over this town when they were doing their flying training.

I flew over many towns on my cross country navigation exercises. This clue is no help to me because they were usually the wrong ones.4mastacker wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 10:32 amSome of our number may have flown over this town when they were doing their flying training.

Another clue: This place lies very close to the point where three county boundaries meet.
p.s. I've called it a 'town' - officially, it's a 'village'. Apologies.

Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
The church is St Mary the Virgin in Bottesford, Leicestershire. The other Bottesford is in North Lincolnshire. The famous aircraft is Lancaster R5868, 'S' for Sugar, which currently resides in the RAF Museum.
I'm going to be away for a while so 'Open House' declared.
