The purpose of my journey each year was to carry out an annual inspection of a Citation 525 at this nearby aerodrome.

This listed building is in a large town and was built in the mid 19thC. It was originally a municipal building but has had many different uses since. It seems to have been derelict for getting on for 25 years and suffered two fires earlier this century.
It was acquired by a housebuilder for development about five years ago but as no progress has been made the local council have recently considered a compulsory purchase order.

In its history this building has seen service as a town hall, trading exchange, roller skating rink, cinema, dance hall, rock venue and bingo hall.
