P.S. I am allowing your answer even though most folks who know the hotel would say it is at Rakaia, not Ashburton. However it is in the Ashburton District.

Ok the country is north of and shares a border with Germany. There is a large Air Force base just outside this town.

A very popular little ‘lady’ sits on a rock in the capital’s harbour. Sadly she’s been decapitated a couple of times.
