Yes, but when I took the photo we were northbound on the Hutigruten.

Went to Hell some years earlier and took a picture of wife's younger son sitting under a sign saying "Hell gods stasion".

I thought it quite funny.

This one shouldn’t last long, but I’m away from tomorrow and will only be here infrequently :-h

Have visited several ampitheatres in my life.

Doesn't look roman.

Have a guess at grecian and possibly on Crete.

It is definitely Cyprus, here is a grotty scanned Polaroid of a (very young) VP standing there in 1974, just before a bit of unpleasantness from Turkey:

This place has a family connection, SWMBO's Great Uncle Archie built it, and it has a bit of infamy associated with it:

Have a feeling I've seen that used as a location for an filming an Agatha Christie story.

If you're thinking of Burgh Island (my first thought) I don't think it is any more

But I know exactly what you mean about AC

That was quick. It has indeed, it has connections with Agatha Christie from the 1930's.

Spot on, I thought the unusual angle (taken from the island side) might help disguise it. You have it.

The angle did fool me - well done Great Uncle Archie for a truly exquisite and iconic art deco creation; I'd love to stay there one day

I have to declare OH as I have to be up at half past daft to get to North Wales tomorrow

But whoever picks up the gauntlet, make it start with a 'P' (I'll be just outside Pwllheli next time I log on)

Pob lwc!

Wild guess, Plettenburg Bay.

First idea that came to my mind.

If, however, it is in the US, how about Pensacola.

Never been to Pensacola so haven't a clue what it looks like.

The P names a park. It IS in the US, but not Florida.

Have had a quick look at the National Parks website for parks starting with p.

Two are listed in the contigeous US, Point Reyes and Padre Island.

I have been to neither.

Padre Island, I think is closer to you so I go for that.

If not Point Reyes.

Two hints. One, it is not a National Park. Two it is west of the Mississippi River. Way west.

Additionally, like many of my photos, it is scanned from a 35mm color transparency and not recent. The area is shown on a current listing as a "reserve" versus a park.
