All Hallows by the Tower is correct. Mrs S and I have been annual visitors as it holds an annual meeting for former ex-pats who were members of congregations in Cyprus and the Gulf (Arabian).

Who bent it Boac?
'Yes, Madam, I am drunk, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly.' Sir Winston Churchill.
Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
The aircraft had been overstressed resulting in pulled rivets in the nose gear bay. Doesn't sound much of a job, but when carrying out that type of work the civvie MU would take the wings off and put the fuselage in a rotating jig to give access, due to time restraints the work had to be done in situ and two of us spent a couple of weeks or so replacing a dozen rivets.
The job was a bugger but living on rate 1s in Cirencester was quite nice.
edited to add that when we finished the Adj offered us a ride in the back but I was sent to Aldergrove and couldn't stick around to take up the kind offer.

Sorry about the delay, been out all day.
This should be an easy one. There are only a limited number of these structures.

Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
My best guess would be Bembridge RNLI boathouse, but most pictures of it don't look like that, so possibly this is an old one? Selsey got demolished, that's the only other one I've spotted and that didn't have concrete support pillars.
OK, the Wikipedia entry has a similar image that notes that it was "before redevelopment in 2009". Back then it had the A-frame supports for the pier, the modern one only seems to have cylindrical supports.

Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
It is indeed Bembridge RNLI boathouse, but was taken in 2008 which matches the photo in link provided by llondel. Is it really nearly 16 years ago that I went there? My how time flies!

It has overtones of Soviet era "somewhere or other" but I'm not sure it's Bulgaria. Hmmmm!

It isn't Bulgaria, but is at a former home of AK.

The city itself is beautiful, with snow-capped mountains flanking the entire city to the south, wide tree-lined boulevards running past Christan Dior, Ralph Lauren and Versace stores. Skiiing, horse-riding and trekking are all easy day trips and it has a large (oil chasing) expat population.
