Sorry just seen this, yes he was part of the hardest working flight crews in the UK, that Prestwick to Belfast rotation was pure hell

The style and colour of the building behind the bar looks very East coast/Edinburgh. Colour has eluded me so far!

Getting on for 70 years ago the consequences of a nearby electrical storm one summer's day will still be vividly remembered by everyone who was in the town that day. With the exception of one poor cow luckily no-one was hurt though.
