Bit of a stall here. OK try this. I have not been to the lake but I have been to the airport in the nearest city.

Yes I would have gone for Canada Woody it looks so much like Lake Louise. not Canada or New Zealand. It is sort of half way between the two.

Looks like a volcanic crater so, given the clues, I'll plump for Hawaii.

Lars it was formed by an earthquake. You need to go the other way around the globe between the two.

When I saw that OM15 had replied I knew that I was in trouble. Well done, a difficult one. OM15 to paddle out next.

Well probably Abingdon but I thought Lechlade first. Many hotels in Abingdon. Maybe Upper Reaches but I thought that had become almost derelict. Hope you got a good price.

Yes, a good deal, double room with excellent breakfast for £210 for two nights.

The rather unusual, 'free flowing' shape of the maze and the thatched hut indicates it might be the one at Glendurgan, Mawnan Smith, near Falmouth, Cornwall.

Yes indeed Smeagol, Planted by the Fox family in 1833 with cherry laurel and is fairly unique. You have control Smeagol.

Thank you Ex-A
I am afraid that I cannot continue in the maze vein so will submit something completely different...
Sorry about the quality it is a from a digitised slide.
Location may not be quite where it might appear but there are clues.
