One for TGG, or perhaps it belongs in your current soundtrack thread
Someone spent a lot of time putting this together..
Mrs Fliegs always suspected 'The Joker' was Dylan, but I never saw the Beatles, Jagger, or Janis Joplin the way this person has put it together! Some GREAT 1950s USA here!!:)

I am with Mrs Fliegs on The Jester being Bob Dylan. Current wisdom is that Dylan was "on the sidelines" as he was ailing at the time due to a motorcycle crash...
Of course it could mean something completely different. A very enigmatic song... and a great video compilation there...

Jagger fits as Satan... It was rumoured that McCLean felt that Jagger had sold out to mammon...

The Devil is Mick Jagger?
The 'Marching band 'refused to yield' is the Beatles..
James Dean, Janis Joplin.....I suppose Don McLean only knows....and Don doesn't want to give it up

James Dean wore a jacket in Rebel Without Cause and Bob Dylan affected that look on the cover of his 'Freewheelin' album.
Janis was definitely the girl that sang the blues...
There is a basis of a game here EA01 but who would play I wonder...?

The quiz could be an adapted form of musical Trivial Pursuit with clues to questions about artists, the meanings of lyrics and the autobiographies of the artists etc....
With points, and as we all know "points mean prizes"...

Give me a day or so and I will publish some rules and kick the quiz off. I have high standards to meet in the light of the excellent research and hard graft that Stoneboat demonstrates in his General Knowledge quizzes, although I only have to think of the first question...
