A balloon trip down the Rift Valley. Not much chance, sadly.
Re: What do want to do before you die?
Jim I would join you if it was the Blyde River Canyon instead. That is still wild Africa.

You should also do a flight over the Bungle Bungles in the Kimberly Region of West Australia.

Now that is something I have done 256 times.... I've had the fortunate luck to see them wet and waterfalls running off them. Fascinating bits of rock. The whole area is incredible. There were others further away. We knew were they were but we weren't telling the public.
The Bungles were relatively new in geological terms. There's signs of meteor impacts on them. Nearby is Wolf Creek crater.
Not far is the Argyle Diamond mine, it was one of the largest open cut mines in the world, it produced a large number of pink diamonds.
The Carr Boyd mountain range (near Argyle Diamond mine) is something like 2 billion years old. Half the age of Earth. That sort of timelessness just messes with my head. Loved my time in the Kimberley. I lived in Kununurra from 1994-1995 and Broome from 1996-1999.
That region is one of the world's best kept secrets.
One of my school mates is a botanist. He completed a survey in Drysdale National Park. He discovered a couple of new species of plants.

Re: What do want to do before you die?
I would like to bring all my deceased colleagues back to life (nearly all are dead) and tell them how much they enlivened my life while at work.
Re: What do want to do before you die?
You'll get your chance to talk with them for eternity.

Yes, great, really looking forward to that, but possibly not just yet. Unless the Devil looks like Liz Hurley in "Bedazzled"!

Saw most of the Bungle Bungles on a seven mile grid when carrying out a gravity survey back in 68,it is impressive from the air or the ground and the view in the early morning light is breath taking.
On the same survey the pilot, one John (Dinger) Bell was showing me an opaque stone that he had picked up, saying that "it's a diamond " and to prove it to me he proceeded to scratch the fueldrain bottle, said to him "diamond ,no way as there are no diamonds in OZ",turns out I may of been wrong as the grid station he picked it up from what was too become the site for the Argyle Mine
