Wouldn't want to be a four year old White kid in Scotland.
Having to decide what sex to identify as and also decide if you are privileged or racist as well would just be too much.

Tate boss says abolitionist J. M. W. Turner should not be 'idolised' because he owned ONE share in a firm that used slaves

Art-lovers have been warned not to idolise one of Britain's greatest painters
J.M.W. Turner has fallen victim to woke culture because he once held a single share in a Jamaican business that used slave labour
His iconic painting The Slave Ship captured horror of the trade in human lives

One of Britain’s greatest painters has fallen victim to woke culture, as art-lovers are being warned not to ‘idolise’ J. M. W. Turner because he once held a single share in a Jamaican business that used slave labour.

During his lifetime, the artist was a liberal and an abolitionist, and his iconic painting The Slave Ship captured the horror of the trade in human lives.

But a new exhibition of his work at Tate Britain comes with a warning that some of his pieces could be considered problematic.

The gallery’s director, Alex Farquharson, even warns that Turner’s depictions of steam power are linked to climate change.

Farquharson - part of the Scottish diaspora in England methinks - Nicola and her Greens would be proud of you Alex. https://inews.co.uk/culture/arts/alex-f ... ies-564133

This guy has raised an amazing £20,000 for the Institute for Cancer Research in memory of his late friend. Well done - from **** to Twatt and back to Bell End on a moped, but breaking down on Cairn O' Mount, as many used to do as it's a long climb for old cars in warm weather! I expect these 'rude' name places will come under attack soon.

A man touring places with rude names in the UK on a 50cc moped has arrived at his final destination of Bell End.

Paul Taylor, from Wantage, Oxfordshire, made the charity fundraising trip, which started in ****, Dorset, in memory of a friend who died of cancer.

He reached Twatt in Orkney on Wednesday but broke down near Cairn O' Mount in Aberdeenshire, and had to finish his challenge by hire car on Saturday.

"It's been an adventure," he told the BBC.

Mr Taylor said there was no sign outside the Worcestershire village of Bell End which was a "bit annoying", theorising that it may have been stolen, or removed because it was "too offensive or risque".

His trip has raised more than £20,000 for the Institute of Cancer Research.

He said after his friend Alexis Leventis died of cancer last year, aged 55, he wanted to do something "to help beat this awful disease" and believed his "Moronic Moped Marathon" was "a suitably ridiculous place to start".

His journey began on 18 August and saw him take in Booze in the Yorkshire Dales, Brawl in the Highlands, and Cockpole Green in Berkshire.

Street names on his itinerary included The Knob in King's Sutton, Northamptonshire, Butthole Lane in Shepshed, Leicestershire, and Titty Ho in Raunds, Northamptonshire.

Before it broke down, Mr Taylor's Slovenian Tomos XL45 Classic had a top speed of 28mph.

Goldsmiths considers removing ‘troubling’ Lord Nelson and Sir Francis Drake statues

University opens up consultation on whether to remove monuments of maritime heroes over alleged slave trade links

Goldsmiths University is considering removing “troubling” statues of Sir Francis Drake and Lord Nelson following student complaints.

The south London university has launched a public consultation examining whether the 115-year-old monuments should be permanently removed from one of their buildings.

A statue of the 17th-century admiral Robert Blake, who served as a naval commander under Oliver Cromwell, may also be removed along with an anonymous naval figure.

The four statues stand on the facade of the Grade II-listed Deptford Town Hall which the university acquired in 1998.

Their removal has been demanded by the student group Goldsmiths Anti-Racist Action, who occupied the town hall over the issue for 137 days in 2019.

Academics at the university have now said it is “vital” that any decision on the future of the statues reflects “the wishes of the local community”.

Respondents to the consultation will be asked if they would like the statues to be retained, removed or for historical context explainers to be added.

It's so nice that these children, with no responsibilities or cares, can be indulged like this. Personally I would remove the statues to the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich for safekeeping and close this building. I'm sure the boys and girls would be happy with a 'safe' 'green' prefab on a nearby brownfield site with no hateful old 'slavery' connections.

No more worries for them, just the chance to study what they are attending Goldsmiths for in the first place, without troubling their young minds with these distractions. I'm sure these stuffy old buildings can be used by more appreciative people anyway. A brave new world beckons for these youngsters and the college 'authorities'.

Looking at that picture, only one of them appears to have a potential slave ancestry. They rest would not appear to have any slave ancestry and most no British colonial past. If anything, at least one may have had a slaver ancestry.

While Goldsmiths is a new university founded by honest goldsmiths, are they sure the goldsmiths wealth was not tainted?

Even an English accent counts as ‘privilege’, according to the NHS woke brigade

Fears that taxpayer cash from National Insurance tax rise could be wasted on ‘right-on racket’ of diversity and inclusivity training

By Ewan Somerville 11 September 2021 • 6:00pm

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/0 ... e-brigade/

Speaking with a “cottage cream-thick English accent” is an example of privilege, NHS leaders have been told in seminars on racial justice.

NHS executives and medics have attended a series of online sessions discussing “whiteness” and “systemic” racism in the health service, as part of diversity training.

The Telegraph has obtained copies of the internal talks, organised by NHS England's inclusivity chief and attended by hundreds of staff.

Various professors and activists were invited along with NHS diversity chiefs to speak about "dismantling" racism within the health service and “historical myths and monsters” around race.

Each speaker stated their pronouns, such as she/her and he/him, while introducing themselves.

Campaigners and a government insider last night condemned the “right-on racket” and urged Sajid Javid, the Health Secretary, to ensure public funds were not being wasted on “woke propaganda”.

In one talk in June, titled “creating an anti-racist NHS – what is the work to get us there?”, Kehinde Andrews, a professor of black studies, claimed the NHS needed to “acknowledge that there was systemic racism in the workplace from individual workers to executives”.

He went on to tell 850 NHS staff that they needed to “unlearn” their preconceptions about privilege and realise “all it means is that you’re protected from the effects of adversity”.

“I’m privileged to be a man. I’m privileged to have this cottage cream-thick English accent. That’s my privileges,” he told the session.
Staff told they need to ‘unlearn’

Tracie Jolliff, an NHS inclusion executive, goes on to explain in the call that privilege is a “misunderstood term”, adding: “Lots of white people are not born with silver spoons in their mouth. But it just means that you don’t have to worry about being discriminated on a daily basis as a result of your race.”

She also said that “whiteness can be a mindset in black people because we’ve all been socialised to thinking that way”.

In other seminars, speakers told NHS leaders how “the Government is trying to use history to create a sense of threat amongst mainly white communities” and how the levelling-up agenda for northern England would “offer flags and xenophobia instead”. The seminars all took place in the first half of this year.

Jenni Douglas-Todd, NHS England’s director of equality and diversity, added in the seminars that the NHS was “flying the flag for anti-racism” and in the process, “we need to unlearn that being colour-blind [towards race] is the positive thing to do”.

She suggested the NHS needed to develop ways to "measure" anti-racism similar to how patient waiting times and medics’ performance is tracked.

And “without a shadow of a doubt” the impacts of Covid within the NHS and issues around provision of protective equipment for staff "may have been different" had there not been mostly "white leaders" in charge, she added.

Dr Halima Begum, chief executive of the Runnymede Trust, also addressed the seminars and claimed NHS services were geared towards “those that can demand more, who are middle class, who can speak in an accent in one way or another”.

It is understood that more NHS race seminars are planned for the coming months.
‘Seminars will incense many people’

Conservative MPs and the Health Secretary are understood to be concerned that taxpayer money handed to the NHS after the National Insurance rise could be spent on diversity training.

A Whitehall source told The Telegraph: “Taxpayers, now more than ever, deserve to know their NHS is working on their priorities. Lessons on how problematic white people are is not one of them. Every NHS leader must now ask how they can show the public they care as much about A&E as they do D&I [diversity and inclusion].”

Harry Fone, campaign manager at the TaxPayers' Alliance, added: "I suspect many people will be incensed and perhaps even insulted by these seminars.

"Public money shouldn't be used for right-on rackets, especially in light of the recent hike in National Insurance. Health ministers must act and ensure taxpayers' money is focussed exclusively on essential frontline care."

An NHS spokesman said: "There is absolutely no place for racism in the NHS and our patients and staff should not be subjected to discrimination of any form.

"While these webinars give staff a platform to discuss the barriers that they can face, the experiences and views expressed were those of individuals and not representative of the views of the NHS."

Time to teach doctors to speak proper, innit?

My last face to face consultation with a doctor post-op was with a white doctor. My surgeon was Indian.

Of the two the surgeon was spoke clear accent free English. The doctor had a heavy accent from central Europe, I suspect the Balkans. My wife had to interpret as she recognised the medical terms.

When Mrs FD2 was a nurse in Norfolk about 20 years ago they had a great collection of doctors and nurses from several countries and religions. They even covered for one of their number who was romancing two nurses at the same time until his fiancee turned up, along with her parents, from a country whose name starts with P and he fled through a back window in a panic. His colleagues helped resolve the situation and they all continued as before when things were sorted. That was before the NHS introduced diversity training and all the rest of the new woke crap.

Oxford college run by former equalities head apologises for hosting Christian conference

New case of 'cancel culture' as Worcester College acknowledges 'distress' caused to students
By Hayley Dixon, Special Correspondent 21 September 2021 • 9:00pm

An Oxford college run by the former head of the equalities watchdog has apologised to students for hosting Christian conference, The Telegraph can reveal.

In what has been described as the latest incident of “cancel culture” at British Universities, Worcester College acknowledged the "distress" that it had caused students by hosting a Christian Concern training camp, and vowed to use the profits for "diversity initiatives".

The move comes just months after David Isaac took over as the Provost of the college from his role as chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).

He was previously chair of LGBT charity Stonewall.

During his time at the helm of the EHRC, it released guidelines for universities and student unions in order to protect freedom of expression amid growing criticism of no-platforming decisions.

Mr Isaac also wrote a blog, Freedom of Speech in Education, in which he set out “core principles”, including “that decisions about speakers and events should seek to promote and protect the right to freedom of expression”.

It is understood that he personally ordered an investigation into the conference after receiving a complaint from the president of a student union.

Poor little people, such distress and so early in their precious lives. Still, the little dears can emerge from their safe spaces knowing that any profits from the conference will be used for diversity initiatives. Bless. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/0 ... s-hosting/

Human rights lawyer organises fictional proceedings, with pupils as young as 12, against Richard Drax over his family’s role in slave trade

A prominent human rights lawyer has been accused of “brainwashing” schoolchildren after they took part in the mock trial of a Conservative MP over his family’s links to slavery.

Clive Stafford Smith* organised fictional legal proceedings against Richard Drax using 40 pupils aged between 12 and 18, some of whom are from a school within his South Dorset constituency.

Children from the All Saints Academy in Weymouth and The Woodroffe School in Lyme Regis were assigned the roles of prosecution and defence lawyers while others were split into three juries.

Mr Drax turned down an invitation to defend himself at the imitation court at Bridport Town Hall after he was charged with “benefitting from the proceeds of slavery” under the first “Generation on Trial” event.

Hosted by Mr Stafford Smith’s anti-injustice charity 3DCentre, the initiative gives young people the chance to put politicians accused of crimes of “messing up the world” for their generation in the fictional dock.

Future trials on issues surrounding Brexit, climate change and immigration are being planned in due course.[/i][/b]

Thank you Smith. That's just what the country wants - a generation of self righteous, opinionated, smug 'rights' people. Come on you youngsters - learn the jargon and be like him! There's a good living to be made from it.

Please don’t hassle me at this time in the morning, I haven’t downed my rabbit food and coffee and I’m still trying to work out with whom or what I am self-identifying today;

Once I’ve resolved that problem I will try and report on the conclusion for the week, until the next time...
