Waking to another gale. I was woken attend 5am to be scolded as the front door had blown open: not been shut properly after my late night walk, or so the supposition goes.

Another day has arrived.
4°C at present and sunny spells predicted.
Possibility of BR and DZ overnight.

All very quiet here apart from the bin men breaking the silence at 0600.

Good morning campers,
7c overnight low, just 10c now, guess 18c.
Not a cloud in the sky and 500 mile viz.

Junta de Andalucia muttering about increasing restrictions, they is going to have a meeting.

3mm rain overnight a step or two down from the fire and brimstone thunder and lightening promised.

A lovely morning here in Norfolk; clear skies and chilly. Black bitch happy that normal walking service resumed.

Just had first booking on Airbnb since pre COVID. Good news.

Ex-Ascot; Re Miss Botswana; Do they not say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

FWIW, I do not find her attractive either but obviously some do!

Good luck to her anyway!

A long time ago a friend once posed a question to me re someone like Miss Botswana. His question was...

''Ah, but what would you do if you came home one night and found her waiting for you in your bed?"
You only live twice. Once when you're born. Once when you've looked death in the face.

Morning folks. Mole my last boss was Al Stuart. No 'erb of that name that I know of. They also had another Nav boss after I left who was my Nav during the Gulf War. Swam for the Royal Air Force team. Didn't understand why he didn't stay on he would have easily made Gp Capt.

Nice day.

Pinky as I said I asked our gardener and he didn't like her. She is probably a MP's daughter.
Ah, but what would you do if you came home one night and found her waiting for you in your bed?
I think that 'er indoors would kick her out and make her clean the house.

Ex A, Al Stuart's villa is near Perugia in Italy not France, although it has been on the market for 2 years now.

Sorry yes. He is probably wanting to retire. Apparently used to have many senior Royal Air Force officers to stay with some heavy parties.

Sorry Wodders do not do WhatsApp Corrupt.

Thanks for posting that link G-CPTN. I don't think I ever met Al but can understand him falling in love with Italy! And his place sounds lovely.

I bought my place there nearly 25 years ago. It's in an unfashionable part of Puglia and not really near anywhere. Nearest neighbour is about 2 km away. I can buy food in a village about 5km away. I bought the place when I needed to get away from things for a good while. A doctor friend I've spoken to about it believes I was having a breakdown.

The buildings (it's an old farm) were in near ruin but there were beautiful vaulted brick ceilings in the main building. It took about a year full time to get the main house habitable. It's nearly 200 square metres with a big terrace. Lots of outbuildings still to do.

For those of you who do the off grid and solar energy thing; there is no electricity. Light comes from oil lamps and the oil from some of the olives in about two hectares of olive trees. No running water but we do have two wells. A hand pump pumps water into one of two tanks on the roof. The black painted tank sometimes provides warm water. Cooking is done on an ancient range using fallen wood. Transport: an old Vespa and an ancient Fiat Panda. No Teslas here!

It's a great spot to get away from the World but I do have plans of turning it into an 'agriturismo'.
