Good Moaning,

20c rising quickly, guess 21c should be there before I finish this.

Expected dry, blue dome at present.

dunno what the day will bring except a big shopping list.

Have a good trip, Chinese with the lad tonight?

Morning folks. Broken Cu 25°C. Pay day yesterday so expecting noisy booze cruises on the lagoon. Heard a boat at 08.15 thought surely not this early. Think that it was our friend the boss of Mack Air. He will be fishing down the lagoon. He has little electric booster motors fitted so that he can maneuver without starting the main engine.

His boat is moored at the safari camp so may see him later for a beer.

See that Boris Becker is to be 'moved to Wandsworth Prison' for a 2½ year sentence, two miles away from Wimbledon. Will they let him out at lunch break for a quick knock about?

Hung up black wash as dry weather. Ten minutes later pouring with rain. Down to newsagent to buy FT. The little cloud that hangs over his shop ambushed me, I knew it was coming, put paper inside jacket. Sun out now...

Bit of a coincidence. Spent much of the afternoon watching Youtube episodes of Bush Pilots (Botswana) in which Mack Air was prominent. The episodes are based in Maun. Changed a bit since I was there, nearly fifty years ago.

Bush Pilots episodes eh? :-?

Would I want to watch such things Alison? Or would I wind up throwing heavy objects at the TV, yelling abuse at same and saying things like '...try flying old beat up Bongo Vans with no navaids etc etc...'

I was taken on as aviation consultant for this series. I lasted a week. The producer wanted drama and excitement. I told him that this would affect tourism. Note that Mack Air never allowed this sort of coverage. The owner would not even allowed a smokey engine start.

ExA, it's like any military action drama, rapid movement and action but little shouting. For dramatic effect the producer needs shouty conflict.

A Meridian AN12 boomed over us a couple of hours ago, from Rzeszow, no destination shown, tracked inland then south of Barcelona, now paralleling the coast towards Afriky. Unusual in daylight, we normally hear them around midnight.

I wented to South Africa when I go bored with PNG. Was based at Rand Airport in Germiston. Was a regular into Botsie - Gaberones, Maun and Francistown. I think there was a strip at Serowe to, where Seretse Khama, the bossman hung out. He had a big compound there.

I have now had two posts removed by our self imposed moderator, I have been on this forum since day 1, I don't swear, post whilst drunk or make personal attacks on anyone, however I fear I must depart as I am unable to post my thoughts here due to the new moderation policy.
I have enjoyed your company

You have had two posts removed as they do constitute personal attacks on a member. Whether they are 'drunken' as well as 'abusive' I have no way of telling, but you did say you abhor that sort of behaviour. Farewell.

Good morning; "rabbits, rabbits, rabbits" for the new month.

Dark still, but clear sky to observe Venus and Jupiter in very close conjunction.

Post 6068: the AN12 Meridian flight ended in Casablanca. Not a discrete flight: it crossed over us at 25,000' but was audible even with our terrace door closed.

Procrastinating over asking my neighbour to trim tall shrubs on the boundary, I need an approach between a confrontational "Now, look, mate..." and a handwringing "Would you mind awfully..."

Morning all. Birds singing, a few Clouds scraping the blue sky, Sun gently humming to itself in its chariot, Cat outside snoring on its cushion. Sunday morning going down.

Good Moaning All,

Slightly hazy blue.

I have 22c, guess 24c, a peak for the week, they is guessing rain Tuesday/Wednesday at high percentages.

We were quoted 6,800€ to paint the house +1,800€ to do the black.

Our tame Serb wants 2,400€ for the lot, won't be as good a job but it will do prior to going on the market again.

A normal Sunday; Floors, ritual, do lifting as required, dinner.

A 'tittering' reference on HIGNFY (UK current affairs prog) last week to a 'growler' (apparently something the venerable twatterati are into) caused me to seek a 'definition'.

I wonder how pilots of the Boeing EA-18G Growler feel about it (and any Sidewinder driver too) =))

You live and learn.
