Only due to get up to about 90F, 32C here today, so a bit cooler than it has been. Still cooler outside than inside, I tend to go close the door as the temperatures match so as not to let any of the hot air in.

….. Many thanks, I really value your first-hand advice and that hotel looks perfect. We're planning for next year at the moment, so with luck the ferry problems may be sorted by then.
VP959 - I can certainly recommend the area around Loch Harray and the Merkister Hotel for stunning scenery. I stayed at the Merkister on a few occasions whilst working and had some good times there - but that was 48 years ago so no doubt the management has changed!

Good morning, sunny! birds singing! only 6°C but much more cheery. Yesterday brought 57mm of rain.

Shame about the carnival accoutrements, OFSO. Do they have a Plan B?

Ouch. After a nice active weekend, today I went to remove something from the van and did something dire to my back. Sitting still is fine, but walking is not easy at the moment. I need to be up for a bit of running on Saturday (dog show) and some major dog wrestling the weekend after (FastCAT) so hopefully it will fix itself quickly.

No plan B for Carnival floats. Just build some more. Buy some more vehicles. Buy some more sound equipment. Seven months to go. I'm waiting on investigation report (out of interest - I'm not a Carnivalista) but whether sabotage or accident, end result is the same...

Morning folks.
Usual weather, 23c and high of guessed 29c...hopeless.

Misread the above two posts.

Thought there was a suggestion of putting arnica on the burnt vehicles/equipment to heal them.

Good Moaning,
Crystal, 28c guess 31c.
Yesterday I had occasion to venture inland, maybe 15km. From a coastal 30c very quickly it became 35c.
Glad we live 4km inland ATCF.

Off for a shower and then to the perils of Nerja visiting Gestoria so she can tell me the latest reason for refusal of my tax rebate.

No Serb as yet, Cleaning lady too but not until 11.00.

Welcome to the Hurty Back Club - it's one I'd rather not be a member of.

Been doing me exercises what the physio told me to do - seem to be a bit more achy so not sure whether the exercises are working. Still, one must carry on until my next date appointment with the very nice tall, leggy, blonde who is punishing pummelling trying to get my decrepit body into a more serviceable form.

Gonna be hot today and under orders to drink plenty of liquid - another Wobbly six-pack put in the fridge :-bd
It's always my fault - SWMBO

Afternoon folks. Thought that I had posted. Anyway nice weather. Just popped up to the safari camp as the bar was open. Guys messing about out front. Guess fish are involved.

Talking of safaris, this is the Woody family accommodation for a week from Friday , however if we see any of the Big Five expect headlines and comments in the DM , as it’s in Dorset, weather extremely hot according to the guessers .
Big plus don’t have to go anywhere near an airport to get there :D

Good morning, 6°C, expecting 11°C; bit of high mackerel cloud, and the full Moon hanging bright in the southwest with a golden halo.
A little cockerel crowing enthusiastically somewhere within a couple of hundred yards, haven't heard him before.

There's been a lot in the press recently about delays at the Passport Office.

Six days ago I made an online application for renewal of Sproglette Senior's passport; her first adult passport. Supporting documents also mailed.

New passport arrived today. Six days. Pretty good.
