Morning all.

Another day jumping through hoops, to fit in with gaining appointments for doctors appointments. Timescales totally unrealistic. My GP has seen the proposed scheduled and declared it unworkable.

I thought winter clothing would only be necessary in Paris. Wrong. Damned cold in N Spain right now. Early to station as usual. An hour to wait.....

Looking at the Spanish/Catalan lady next to me - long chestnut hair, golden tan, silk blouse, cream linen jacket, jeans, Louis Vuitton handbag, nice smile - I'm thinking there some compensations for ludicrously expensive French rail travel.

Did you feel a rising urge to seek a couchette?

Text received last evening from DD2, shared with her permission:

[Basil is a miniature horse]
Grabbed a slice of hay to fill Basil's hay net this morning. Large deceased-looking hedgehog rolled out so I rolled him aside, discarded that hay, and filled the net with a different slice. Went to fill the net again this evening and the same hedgehog rolled out looking rather disgruntled this time [lol] he were hibernating, not deceased

Feeling slightly better this morning. Woke up during the night with bed clothes soaked in perspiration. Was able to face breakfast & coffee this morning, so must be on the improve.

Perfect blue sky day here, currently 14c, forecast max 22c. Fingers all fruz.

Morning all from my "cheap" hotel in Paris. Cheap hotel ? Ain't no such beast in Paris. As much as there's an obligation on me to attend meetings, I cringe when considering that my travel and hotel costs, huge in France, are reimbursed by our members. Zoom isn't an alternative as much work is done off-meeting.

Morning folks,

Blue sky out there.

Madam is going out with a "friend" from Crewe this morning. Has already adjusted her mode to the the critical manner that she will encounter.
Always has an attitude when she returns.

Morning all-weather is warming up nicely. Friend took part in a reception at a local art gallery last night. One particular piece was purchased by a member of the America's Cup team who have been training here. They left yesterday for Barcelona.

Morning folks. Nice day. Noisy afternoon yesterday on the lagoon. Expect the same today.

A lady drove up to the house and said there was a lamb causing chaos on the road. I managed to get hold of it and lift it up but it was a strong beast and jumped out of my arms. After a lot of effort I've coralled it in one of our fields and called the farmer to collect it. My good deed for the day.

My flux-core welding machine has arrived, together with all the gear, supplies and accessories.
I have a new toy!

I've been waiting for about 3 years for the right device at the right price.
The costs have come down to the point where the whole setup cost me less than C$250
Meanwhile, the price of finished goods and the cost of professional welding have gone up so much that the machine will pay for itself with the first two small jobs I have to do.
