Another beautiful blue sky day here to start the weekend. Currently 11c, forecast max 16c.
Caught up on missed sleep last night, didn't even have to get up for the traditional 3 a.m. bathroom visit. Feeling much better this morning.

Thunderstorms in night and some rain. First storms to come over us in months. Air fresh this morning.

Morning folks. Bit windy and hazy. Safari camp for a few.

'Morning all.
28c/45% high overcast.
This is as the soothsayer would have it, terminating at 30c.

The Kosovan has appeared. I have no idea of his intent.
He has a coolbag so that suggests more than a five minute stop.

We will speak after my ablutions.

edit;
There is an almost constant tweeting from the extractor duct.

Hoying it doon hereabouts. Mrs 4ma using her convalescence as an excuse to stay in bed and send me into town instead to pick up some items I missed of the shopping list (which I didn't compile).

The "road trip" saga continues as Mr Moscow now wants to order crampons and to have them delivered to my house in the UK and then for me to bring them with me to Zurich. While I am quite happy to do that, I have had to disabuse him of the idea that I am going anywhere near places that will need crampons on the trip. He has also got it into his noodle that we will drive to Chamonix! Why would I want to go to Chamonix at the height of one of the hottest European summers on record. It is dump during winter too. Full of insufferable skiing types clad in ludicrous salopettes and revolting tourists and is hugely overpriced and is simply dreadful. It is miles off our route as well.

Nope, I am not going to Chamonix. A luta continua! =))

Talking of the hot European summer I see Milan has been hit by storms, at least one tornado, and flooding.

Meanwhile, here in Blighty raindrops keep falling on my head.

Don't worry about crowded roads in Frog Country. They are all here in the north of Spain, enjoying superior food and wine at half the cost in France, and served with a smile instead of a scowl.

Still cold and wet on the Humber 14C, considering getting my jumper out. Oz daughter went up to Brisbane to watch England's poor show against Haiti, she was interviewed by Sky TV on the way in. I don't know if it made it to British TV. She quite liked the idea but it wouldn't have suited me.

Another pipe burst in our cellar. Cut out defective bit, spliced. I'm sure the silly buggers have removed a pressure reduction device up at the top of our mountain where the supply tank is.

Had to put the Google MachineTM to work on your references.
Thanks to you I now have yet another book on my massive list of books to read.
I think this one will be read sooner rather than later.

Robert Erskine Childers was a fascinating chap. ;)))

I imagine the No. 3 Rippingille stove would be put me over the luggage weight allowance.

All of the items you note would not be totally abnormal for Mr Moscow as he has led an adventurous life, spending 6 months counting penguins on Gough island after he finished his army stint and then spending two seasons down south as acting base commander at two different BAS stations over the years.

Which is as yesterday.

No Kosovan as yet, yesterday he cemented ready for the edging tiles.
As I write he has passed going to his store house.
