Afternoon folks. Nice days. Terrible weekend on the lagoon with noise. The flood is progressing at 300 metres/hour. We should have the water in a month.

DWP have still not received my life certificate. Going to have to courier one at great expense.

Cannot something be done about that problem, Ex-Ascot? :-\

Good morning, sky was clear earlier, could see the Pointers and the Southern Cross from the kitchen window but now the mist has rolled in obedient to the forecast. 2.1°C, purported to reach 11°C.
Going to be sunny until it rains in the p.m.

Will postpone tomorrow's appointment with the hairdresser, have been in déshabillé, if that's the word I want, for nearly a week and need a bit more time to adjust to the world and the weather outdoors again. She won't want me coffing at her anyway.

Recent rain event total fall 134mm.
Looks like roads are mostly open.
Much of the soil is the region is quite free-draining.

Have you discussed on the telephone perhaps establishing new procedures ?
I find the DWP quite helpful.

Morning all, another blue sky day here after a brief cloudy interruption yesterday. Currently 8c, forecast max 18c.
Good to hear Ibbie is likely to be released soon. Hope he's feeling a bit better.

Mornin, one and all, no sign of the sun as of 9.00 am due to the fog taking its own sweet time to pack up and go home, reader of the entrails promising
20c after the sun arrives.

'tis said, when you can put your foot on three daisies, Spring has come.
Well if I wished I could have placed my foot on four daisies in the lawn today.
Only 8°C but brilliant sunshine at present and I have some windows open.
Stood outside in the sun and basked for a few minutes. :)

Morning folks. Nice day. Best wishes to Ibbie.

I keep telling the idiot not to overwater the fruit trees. Just been out the back and they are all flooded. I am going to stick his head in one of the lakes and say if you can't breath it is too much water. Citrus splits with too much water.

CCTV repair chaps expected this morning. Couldn't come earlier because they had to book their 4x4.

Morning folks.

Bright and sunny hereabouts. Tea and toast for breakfast then time to journey over to the north-east of the county to visit senior daughter's house. Must remember to pick up a couple of Mr Pocklington's plum loafs whilst I am there.

Trundled down to Headcorn this morning. Usual route via Leeds Castle was blocked as the road was closed. Decided to go cross country only to meet a tractor and had to reverse a quarter of a mile in the rain. I have persisted and have arrived just as the sun appears. Had a chat with the chap that man's the radio here. Lovely bloke.

Possibility of light showers here later but the visibility is good at the moment.

Morning. Wind feeling cold at 22°. Force six wind and low humidity mean high fire risk, unless we get the promised storm today. Pigs, wings, etc.

No CCTV chaps this morning. Phoned at 11.30 they said 14.00. Now 14.13. They will arrive half way through lunch or my siesta which is even worse.

Felt like giving the R44 a thorough thrashing this morning.

The check list says the following.

R44 Check list.JPG
R44 Check list.JPG (61.21 KiB) Viewed 306 times

Advised by the head honcho to just blip prime once and ignore the checklist cold prime number on this occasion as the aircraft has been refusing to start recently . Hit the start button and only slowly push the mixture in when it has fired.

Follow that advice, "thrubba, thrubba, thrubba pahfailure". With just the briefest of single primes, I can already smell excess fuel being vented. 3 more attempts and no joy after more thrubbatthubering. Let the starter motor cool for 10 minutes and try again with the same pahfailure. By this time the battery is showing a singular lack of will power so an engineer is called for, and after a quick scan through the manual to ensure the correct voltage is connected, a gigantic battery is connected . After 3 more attempts, and a lot more thrubbatthubering the barstweward reluctanly grumbles into life and then runs perfectly thereafter. :-? =))
