Good aftermorning folks.
Beautiful day. Had a pleasant walk into town to collect Mrs 4ma's prescription. Spending the rest of the day in "watching the grass grow " mode.

More than that, fleet at the time was 320,321, 330-2, 330-3, 757, 767.
It could and did replace any of them no offloads, nothing. Best standby ever.

Good morning; 2.5°C, stars visible to the south when I looked out earlier; going to be mostly fine, max. 10°C.
The regional flights aircraft have chugged past, a few minutes late perhaps.
House Fairy coming at 9am, had better go and make all ready for her.
edit at 8:20am to add:
Hooshed around the bathroom with Domestos solution and spritzed the air with a spray of Clove Bud essential oil in water - all smells pleasantly medicinal.
Opened a few windows though it's still only 2.5°C.
Sun's up.

A marvellous evening on the town battlements in our favourite restaurant with a trio playing gentle jazz. 25° and a mild breeze. Ram jam full, many French of course. Queuing outside in the lane. Anna trying to find places for all....

House Fairy and I compared notes on the recent bug as she has been afflicted with it too, 4-6 weeks' recovery-time she informed me, and that I look "quite wan".
She brought me a tray of fruit and some sprigs of daphne, love that fragrance.
How very kind! bless her.
I know one thing, it's left me making many more typing and spelling errors than usual! I discover them when it's too late.

Good morning everyone from Marloth Park, https://www.marlothpark.com/, we’re here for a few days, with game drives into Kruger Park on Friday and Sunday, then down to Somerset West for a couple of weeks, so any complaints about LHR or BA
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
Monsoon has finally arrived!
The monsoon here used to be declared when there were three consecutive days with dewpoints above 550F.
Now it is considered a season with hard start and end dates (June 15 - Sept. 15). Didn't know that a monsoon could read a calendar.
Storms have been all around the Valley but the heat bubble has prevented them from any direct hits.
That changed late last night with up to 1" recorded relatively near to me. Unfortunately, my rooftop WX station is O/S until I get the urge to go up and try to diagnose the problem.
Thanks to the high winds I spent some time skimming pine needles and twigs out of my pool transitioning to pond. Filled trash can half full. Didn't address all the pine needles on the surrounding deck (probably another trash can full.
PP

That time of year again. Cow elk with young. No bulls, even young ones, with the females at this time. These herds play havoc with the orchards because they can clear a 6 foot fence or at least smash it down.

Just been outside to stand facing the sun with closed eyes for a couple of minutes, letting various wavelengths penetrate. Everything looks all blue for a few moments when back indoors. Birdies busy chirping.
Magic: I text DD1 a supermarket list, and, lo! Cargo is delivered to my door the next day. I will still have to reimburse her for it.
8.9°C here at the moment, mostly blue skies with a thin high layer of haze and some clouds around the horizon.

Blue sky with a little cloud today. Warming up here, currently 21c, forecast max 23c. Quite warm overnight.
Went to have my ears lowered this morning. Barber not happy as he went home without his house keys yesterday, and had to break a window to get in.

It's Friday yet again.
27c 51% Dome Soothsayers have it getting 29c which is probably correct.
Malaga city's system of roadworks and drain replacements successfully negotiated twice yesterday.
Just as well, SM now has six weeks of eye drops. Clinic on Holiday for August.
