Bloody hell how boring we stay in the bar. Just booked the flight for our next bar safari. Said wanted a jet 1st class and vegetarian catering. No doubt I will get a reply back that they can't do any of these things. Oh well, it entertains me. =))

Nice day. The flood is on the outskirts of town. A month to us I reckon.

E-mailed DWP yesterday and they said if I phoned they would reinstate my pension. I phoned the other day and they didn't say this. Phoned today and they said that they would ~X(

Had a trip across the Wolds, lots of traffic because Coningsby is having a Famillies Day with heavier-than-air machines doing various up-diddly-up, down-diddly-down stuff. The spotters are out in force and are thoroughly miffed because of the parking restrictions and road closures. A local aviation photographer has been on the local radio and told them "It's for the famillies, it's one day out of 365, what's your problem?"

Hydro: wrote Went to have my ears lowered this morning. Barber not happy as he went home without his house keys yesterday, and had to break a window to get in.

Reminds me of a few years ago at a garden centre car park. A young girl in distress because she had lost her car keys. I offered to take her home to get spares it was only 15 minutes each way. We arrived at her house but nobody was in, never mind I will go in through the upstairs window she says. The upstairs window was tiny and could only be reached if you climbed a drainpipe and risked your neck getting across to the window. You can't do that says I. Don't worry I'm a gymnast and we are supple, catch me if I fall. Up she went and in no time was swinging on the open window and squeezed herself through the tiny opening and reappeared at the back door with her keys.Would never have believed it from such a tiny slip of a girl!!
She did find her keys in her car..

I saw (on t'internet) someone who had locked their child in their car breaking (after much battering) their windscreen.

Why didn't they break a side window and open the doors?

They even 'rescued' the child through the broken windscreen!

Was down to -1.2°C on my thermometer earlier; sun's up now, "white as meal" the frosty lawn and neighbours' roofs; some high clouds; have seen the sun.
Now -0.9°C, expecting 11°C.

^ well done. 1DC; I had to put a bit of thought into two of the NZ q's.

Sometimes, of course, the questions are just shtyupid and I have been known to end up with a score of 3/15 if they're mostly based on sport or modern entertainers :))
Usually do alright though.

12 out of 15, the three missing were NZ questions.

Challenge accepted.

11/15. Missed 3 NZ questions and one other, but guessed the Piha Beach one correctly. One of the first places I went with my now wife in 1966.

Blue skies with a little cloud. A little rain last night, heard it, but the ground looks dry this morning. Currently 18c, forecast max 22c. Agenda for today is garden pottering and workshop.

Morning folks, nice day. Off to the pub at lunchtime. Hippos heard in the night but think that they are about a mile down river.

Productive day today. Removed a broken branch from a tree in the yard, with the assistance of my next door neighbour. I think he was scared I would fall off the ladder! Glued up the last drawer for my current project, then planted a couple of shrubs this afternoon. Started cutting up the branch for disposal.

Discovered I have run out of beer. I haven't restocked since the end of summer. Top of the jobs list for tomorrow.

Morning folks.

Pleasant day.

Mrs 4ma must be feeling better - I am being allowed to go to me canal for a couple of hours. Perhaps she's getting tired of me looking after her.

'Morning all,

Dome, just passing 30c,40% quick check of the runes is 30c, I scoff.
Somewhere 33c to 35c later in the day I expect.

SM made a major effort to get out with Henry while there was some shade.

Not sure but think the occupants of the cooker hood duct have fledged.
Certainly one did yesterday afternoon, the rest seem to have gone this morning, it's very quiet.

A late Good Morning to all. Just back from the gym. Also bought two Rusticas* and the FT. A new Wire Card scandal I believe.

* bread

Passed hunters on the way back, washing wild boar carcasses. At least half-a-dozen in the trailers.
