8/15. Disheartened.
Thanks Limeygirl, all healing nicely, it looks like my natural good looks won't be marred.
Clear blue skies, currently 19c, forecast max 24c

For lo! the wind was blusterous
and I have had to retrieve the bin from some yards down the street.
"However, ... we haven't had an earthquake lately."

I notice salmon-pink Watsonia starting to flower, also the first fragrant blooms of Viburnum x burkwoodii.

Around 21°C now, forecast to be much cooler with rain in the next 24 hours.

I should go and distribute fertiliser to the rose-bushes in anticipation of the rain.

Bonjour mes amis! :)

Just been trying to sort out a test server brought to a shuddering halt by disk overflow while doing volume, stress and performance testing on an application. My cup of joy runneth over, but a sunnier day here than of late means I am still of good cheer for the moment despite the fact I am stuck indoors, without SWMBO let it be said, who is out prowling like the lioness she is.

There is a small chance that the weather will go tits up this afternoon, but it matters not as I am stuck in the drudgery of toil, albeit soft, white handed computer based drivel.

Edited to say I hope the earth's crust remained still and stable in Karearea's neck of the woods.

Good morning, it drizzles, 10°C. In for a colder spell with the southerly that has arrived.

Relieved to have finally re-started the clock which had stopped after the quake.
Watched a dvd* last night, had to move the tv screen a bit so it faced me, must have been shifted in the event.

*Trail of the Pink Panther, had not realised it was made after Peter Sellers' death.

11/15 in the quiz this morning, one stupid error, finger twitched too fast:

Gave up on the Rugby World Cup quiz :)) but offer it anyway:

Looking at this image of an exasperated woman, makes me realise that SWMBO might have a point about my books and record collection...
