Hasn't been a haunting for years in the house. However previously:
took books off shelf, strewed things about.
Happens in my place occasionally overnight, they also steal all the money out of my wallet, hit me on the head with a bat till my head hurts, take my clothes off & throw them at the wall and either ***** or put cotton in my mouth.... :)) :)) :))
B-) Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance. B-)

Just heard what turned out to be an Airbus Helicopters H160 identified thanks to FR24.
Quite a distinctive noise profile.
First I've heard of this model.

Ricardian-both articles were very interesting. Please keep us informed on ship developments.
Orkney is no stranger to ship wrecks, 52 ships of the German Fleet (about 400,000 tons in total) scuttled themselves in Scapa Flow in 1919. Many were refloated and towed south for scrap in the 1920s & 1930s.
And HMS Royal Oak was torpedoed in what was previously considered a "safe anchorage" in Scapa Flow in 1939.

Good morning all, the day started out clear, but has now clouded over. Currently 21C, forecast max 33C. Workshop day today. Yesterday's timber-getting expedition was a success, as was the social lunch afterwards.

Yes, I've had parties like that, too (a long, long time ago. :ymsmug: )

It let me in! Have they had a change of heart? 14/15

Most interesting story, Jimtherev! There are indeed '....more things under Heaven and the Earth than meet the eye.'

Any more to relate?
There's one incident which particularly struck me which I'll share some time. But it rambles on a bit, so I'll see if I can do a bit of creative editing and come back with it when it's ready. Really didn't want to believe it (wet behind the clerical ears at the time) but still have no explanation.

I see that the Greek island of Paros has been 'discovered', following its appearance in some Netflix film or other.
https://www.joe.co.uk/life/the-perfect- ... ers-422758

It seems as though influencers have got to work on it, because my understanding is that very little filming took place in Greece. Paros has only a small airport, but the runway is being extended, which will doubtless allow direct flights from Europe. No doubt this is what the whole thing is about. They also say that you can get a Mythos beer there for €3. Well, I was only paying that in Glyfada, an upmarket suburb of Athens, at Christmas!

Doubtless Paros will be crawling with septics and other nationalities this summer. Could Amorgos be next? :))

Morning folks. Town day. Heat wave continues 40C. Not nice in town. Huge traffic jam getting in due to police road block. Idiots.

Today's glue-up went well, completed just as the epoxy was starting to go off, unclamped and clean-up done before it went rock hard. Small glue-up tomorrow. Rang client for next job to confirm details, he now wants 7 boxes instead of original 4, but the extras can wait until the job after is completed. I don't usually like doing batch jobs, but these people have been good clients and have also given me some interesting & challenging jobs.

14/15

Went to Glyfada in 1971. Hope it's better now. The flight path for the old ATH airport was right over our hotel. Rumour had it that Aristotle Onassis owned the pink villa opposite our hotel, but I have my doubts-unless he was stone deaf. The town square was nice, as I recall. They showed films on a huge screen (possibly a bedsheet?) We saw "Hot Enough or June" with Dirk Bogart. The "honey wagon" came to "empty" around lunch time. Nice :ymsick: We were having breakfast one day and a three wheeler actually disintegrated when it stopped. I was waiting for a lot of clowns to get out, but it was just major mechanical failure!

It's very upmarket now, lg. Lots of very expensive apartments and villas. (Think Palm Beach :) ) I knew it in those days too, when politics and indeed the economy in Greece were a lot different. Onassis did indeed own a villa very close to the approach path, but I don't think he spent a lot of time there. Most of it was spent on the island of Skorpios, where he could hide from the paparazzi.

Skorpios is where they took Kennedy to recuperate after the Dallas event. (Ringing of Conspiracy Alert Bell).

Don't know how many times you flew into there T15 but I did often. They put you at 10,000' downwind on a visual approach and then you were cleared to land. :-o

The a/c in the car was struggling on the way home from town. 42C. It took 15 mins for the car to cool down. Don't usually use it.

New hard drive in computer. Some sort of new technology. It is super fast. The old one was apparently really on the way out it took 3 hrs to clone.

This too has been 'found' and is now being turned into a VIP resort:

Yes, I experienced that once or twice from the jumpseat. Given the variety of foreign aircraft that transited Athens in those days. it was very much a case of 'y'all take care now!'
