I guess you made some mistake with the PM, ex - it has not arrived and the system is working normally - just tested it. Try the email 'contact us'.

A PM will remain in the 'Outbox' until the recipient/s open it when it becomes 'Sent'.

Morning all. Cloudy bright. Quiet morning at home before late afternoon zapping session.

Morning folks. Broken Cu 34C. Just had an e-mail from a friend on her way here from Amorgos. She had got as far as Zurich with Swiss Air. This is a route we have booked twice and had to cancel twice so never done it. It was Capetonian's recommendation for ATH-JNB. Awaiting feedback. She is 1st class so should be good. Loads of Swiss chockies.

I hadn't been to Athens airport for a number of years until Christmas time, but for a not exactly huge international airport, it seems to have a larger-than-usual shopping mall attached, so she may have been able to top up before she left. :) I fear that Swiss is not the same as the old Swissair, but I would imagine it's one of the better operators on that route. I used to use KLM, who were fine, but I wouldn't baulk at Swiss.

Flying ATH-DBX-JNB we used to get little boxes of Belgium Chockies. Telling them about our non existent orphanage on Amorgos we used to leave with carrier bags of the things to give to all my girlfriends there. I must add, some considerably older than I.

Yes, the now, not so new ATH is a considerable improvement on the old one. Mind you, it wouldn't be difficult to achieve this.

Flew Swiss in Business from Manchester to Hong Kong and Singapore back to Manchester, via Zurich both ways, just before covid started and I rated them very highly for service and accommodation. They are on my list when looking for longhaul flights..

Been a reasonable day on the Humber very mild for the time of the year. 15C Forecast windy and no rain! Went to see the asylum seekers and paid a tenner to have my car washed and polished they made a very good job of it. Because it was a nice day Mrs 1DC then insisted that a walk around the park would do me good.,that was acceptable because a decent coffee and a bacon sandwich was an easy negotiation afterwards.Because visibility was so clear a trip along the sea front on the way home was called for. Pressure was very high visibility was excellent you could almost touch the ships!
Oh dear as we turned for home what was this absolute black horizon between us and my nice dry garage for my sparkling car? We had no choice and after proceeding through a rainstorm of almost biblical proportions my car is as mucky as it was when I went out.The only consolation was that the following rainbow was as nice as any I have seen!!

Yesterday I had an ugly pendulous wart in my left eyebrow, big enough to affect my sight.
Today it's gone. But it was touch and go.
Yesterday had a phone call from Dermatology changing the appointment for the procedure. Only half an hour, but usually they don't bother: just see you late. Impressed that they bothered.
Today had another phone call from Dermatology wanting to bring the appt forward 3 hours. No go, as one isn't allowed to drive after surgery near the eye and Mrs Jim is out until then.. "Oh. I'll call you back." New proposal made and accepted (I think that she could find a later tee-time for the consultant)
Arrived on time. Got out early. Eyebrow a bit hurty but otherwise pleased with myself and with the Nightingale. Full marks! Who said that the NHS can't get it right?
Only complaint: you can't get an eyepatch and a parrot on the NHS.

^ One never realises how often one raises one's eyebrows until something like that takes place. Wishing you an easy healing, Rev. Jim.

Where is Hydromet and his rolled-up newspaper? I have one of these racing around in the interior of my car; I know it's harmless but a bit disconcerting and they are so jolly fast. :-o

Morning all, grey skies, currently 21, forecast max 23c. Had to take a sample to pathology, on the way home I noticed the rh front blinker wasn't working. Now waiting for the local servo to fix it. They said they'll call when it is fixed, probably about an hour. Not bad for a busy Saturday morning.

Karearea, we have them around here, they're fast, but if you can get a jar over it and slide a piece of paper under it & put it outside, you'll both be happy.

Greetings,
21°c, 22°c from the tea leaves. Think that will be exceeded.

Nearly Dome just a bit of high haze and Chemtrails.

Failing my operator’s certificate of late, the last three days found lurking in Drafts.

Henry went berserk at 0820 fine woofing and howling session.
The Desatoras rolled up next door.
Don’t know who called them, probably their gardener who must have found an overflowing Pozo.
I don’t think they have a septic tank.
