Quiz … Crossed fingers no good. Yes Stuff is now a PITA. It was never broke so why fix it ? ( sorry, why stuff it up ? ) Resident in NZ is no help, when they changed to needing a Sign In I was initially required, then spared, but about a week ago they started denying me entry again unless I sign in, which I refuse to do on principle. No link posted here has worked for me.

It was an interesting challenge over breakfast but I can live without it. “Stuff” them.

Morning all. A sunny Dawn and not the forecast rain - no doubt that will come later. Up to town early for the daily zapping.

Sunny start of the day for the lazy day I have here. Not much planned obviously given it is holiday. The only activity I foresee is a visit to the producers market for the weekly supply of oranges.

Morning folks. Sun, hot. Had sulfation around a battery terminal on the big motor. Followed destructions from Google. It is always a disaster when I go under the bonnet. Lost a terminal into the bowels of the compartment. Shoved two bare wires under the retaining nut and it seems to work. For the time being.

Junior night guard AWL last night. Senior, (father) turned up. He was 90 mins late to garden today. Been in town all weekend pissed. Said he was too ill to work, bad back :-q

RiS-sorry to hear your Mum is unwell. A drop o'Trabbforce on the way to her :YMHUG:

Had a bizarre meal out the other day. We were on the way back from a doctor's appointment (where else do we go these days?) and stopped by a chain restaurant "Mellow Mushroom". Haven't been there in years, but it was convenient. We waited ages for a staff member to seat us (didn't see one for at least 5 mins). Then our server took our order-so far so good. While we waited for our food we noticed that the muzak was stuck on a really loud track. Lots of bass thumping. It was doing our heads in. After about 4 repeats of this someone wandered over and fiddled with something in a cupboard and a more peaceful selection came on. By now I had a headache. Our server brought our food and asked us if would be OK for awhile. It was his turn apparently to go on a coffee run to Starbucks. WTF. He then disappeared. He came back with a tray full of coffees and proceeded to hand them out to everyone. I have never had a server actually leave the premises to get coffee. Had one once who had a nervous breakdown in the kitchen and had to be carted off by ambulance, and one who was arrested (weirdly at the same restaurant) but those are stories for another day!

An interesting and bizarre experience, lg!

When I was at senior school, we sat in alphabetical order. I used to sit next to a lad called Kenny Lee, whose father owned a Chinese restaurant. Many years later, at a school reunion, Kenny invited us to go for a meal at what was now his restaurant. Eight of us went there, and the excellent food was brought. It was July and very warm outside, but we noticed that the background music was Bing Crosby singing 'White Christmas'. When Kenny checked back to see how we were doing, we told him. He moved very quickly to the kitchen, where some shouting in Mandarin could be heard, followed by a few yelps, and suddenly Michael Buble was singing. "Sorry about that lads," he said upon his return, "the bloke who put on that disc has only just got off the boat."

Ooh, you are posh. My schedule tomorrow:
12:50 Leave home, drive to Ilkeston Community Hospital
13:20 Ten minute walk around the perimeter to the clinic (Floor by main door lifted re floods)
13:30 Ultrasound scan
13:40 Back home to lunch.

Back in the day, when I had cause to go in that area, I was puzzled as to why the expensive diagnostic bits had to be in the Harley/Wimpole street area of London. If you want to show off a bit, then by all means put the consulting rooms there, but having all the heavy kit there too is a bit excessive, isn't it?
Of is there something here I don't understand? Probably.

Evening all, good weekend at the dog show. Faraday showed as a veteran (7+ years of age) and got a bunch of pretty pink ribbons in addition to the others, plus a round of applause as she ran round the ring (tradition is to applaud the old dogs). She also ran FastCAT and got her FCAT5 title on Friday. Still no other Leonberger with more than a basic FCAT (7 of those as of today), so she's well ahead of the chasing pack. Running slower now, 10-10.5 second range, but still faster than many of her breed.

Morning folks but not a good one here. Sun, hot. Internet down for 12 hrs. Big tree down taking a fence with it. Internet booster dish on said tree was still working flat on it's back has had to be repositioned. Temporary fix which will probably stay for years. CCTV still down. They want payment before fixing it.

Now a shelf in one of the kitchen cupboards has collapsed. Four hours after tree and fence down. Tree gone fence back up but needs repair. Not bad for Africa. Thanks to our star project manager.

Horrors this morning. Had to have my toenails clipped. I have super sensitive toenails. Makes me writhe. I'd rather have either radiation zapping or dental root canal - or both at the same time - than my toenails cut. Especially when Mrs OFSO insists on freeing the sides of the toenails from the surrounding flesh. Cue: "I never expected the Spanish Inquisition."
