Well they are not in the bar.

Gooday,
8°c, 14°c predicted by the sooth. Double figures not achieved
There be Mucho Snow on them thar hills !
A filthy day, Steady rain, woken by it clattering down the stairs to the roof terrace at 0530. 5cm for the day thus far, it’s not finished yet.
That’s 11.5 cm since Friday ~ 12.00
Just doing the prep for this evening’s feast : Chicken, Leek and potato soup.
Lumberjack run next, running out of small/medium stock.

Today marks the advent of cheap Easter Eggs.

Got home yesterday. I gave the crew some choc bunnies as a "thank you for flying today". I was rewarded with a cheeky upgrade. Seat's the same but the food is much better.

Morning all, clear, sunny autumn day here. Currently 22C, forecast max 31C. Washing this morning, will mow the lawn this afternoon ifI feel up to it. Mrs. H. rouses on me, but it's something I enjoy, and it needs doing.

D2 has just returned from the national canoe polo championships. As NSW didn't enter a team she played in a team of 'left-overs' to make up the numbers. Two 60+yo, two 40+yo and a 16 yo. They beat the Victorian state team. Talk about old age and cunning beating youth and enthusiasm.

Sorry.
Didn't proof read.
Try this one.
Man narrowly escapes saw blade barreling toward him in Oregon
Video of the incident shows the man entering the store mere seconds before a large saw blade rolls quickly in his direction from across the parking lot.

It wasn’t his time.
In a scene out of horror movie, a man narrowly escaped a saw blade as it came barreling toward him outside a store in Oregon.
Video of the incident shows the man entering the store mere seconds before a large saw blade rolls quickly in his direction from across the parking lot.
The man was safely inside the store with the door closed behind him before the blade latched itself into the building’s facade.
“That just stuck in your wall,” the man is heard saying to the shop owner following the incident.
The shop owner and a customer could be seen walking over to the entrance after the saw blade made impact.

That's a big blade! Would have done major damage.
At the farewell function I went to last week there were two notable absentees. One had been (mis)using a hand-held circular saw, when it caught his loose T-shirt, pulling it into him. He sustained a serious laceration to his stomach, and as he was a fair way from a hospital, he patched himself up with duct tape. As soon as I saw the photos I knew who it would be.
The other was a bloke in his 60s, who fell off a ladder.

Morning all. Rain forecast but currently clear. When I started work with the GPO IN 1961, up at the trainng school in Stone, Staffs, we used to have accident-prevention films showing real incidents. Several of our intake fainted. One bloke fell of his chair and broke his arm. Rather defeated the object of showing the films.

When I was at woodwork school the asbestos wall behind the table saw operator had a number of holes in it, each signed by the operator who had experienced the kickback. Some of those names went on to become quite acclaimed woodworkers. I've also seen a tooth come off a blade and go through the wall, which is why I never stand in line with the blade.OFSO wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 6:04 amMorning all. Rain forecast but currently clear. Morning folks. Breakfast beer by the pool. Been a very wet weekend but better now. Fly out at 12.00. Didn't go out this morning. They get you up at 05.15 normally but we have our own guide and vehicle so we can go anytime.

Well done Hydro's daughter. Canoe polo sounds exhausting-she must be very fit.
The storks have been busy in Wales. Both my niece and nephew's wife produced bairns this week, making me a great aunt. I am now offically ancient. Bittersweet as my sister isn't here to see them. The last time I spoke to her, she told me that her biggest regret was not knowing her grandchildren. Niece has named her daughter after my sister, which I thought was very sweet. Nephew has no name for his nipper as yet.
Busy painting bathroom vanity and mirror. Decided time for a refresh. Next job is to paint the walls a different colour. Retiling shower will be the last phase. It is amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do.
Off to the tv/internet provider today to return their cable box. We are sick of paying for something we rarely watch. Hubs bought an antenna for the kitchen tv-he likes to watch the local news. We only need internet for the other tvs. All the programmes we watch are on streaming services which cost us very little. The cable companies need to up their game. They finally have competition from all these streaming services that are out there now. In our area, ATT and Cox used to be the only game in town-not any more. We will save a lot of money. Woohoo!

Congratulations limeygal. The two cousins being the same age will be good for them growing up. Granddaughter & her cousin are 'twins', and although different in almost every way, are great friends.
