Lorikeets love Bottlebrush and Banksia, and we love having them around (although less so when they're squabbling at 0400). They're very photogenic as they perform all sorts of acrobatics while eating in the trees.

Morning folks. Bright day but a cool 19 degs. Just watched a clip of a changing of the guard at Buck House with the frogs. Surely they will have sent the elite of the elite. Very sloppy.

Greetings,

15°c, 19°c predicted by the soothsayer.

Back to normal Viz, Blue.

See there is an article in the Colonial Press “what to do if your eyes hurt.”

Found it difficult that in a shoe shop they did not have an object known as a shoe horn.

Pedologist the highlight of the day

Last but one treatment. I've bought the staff a box of assorted doughnuts to say thanks. Good people.

Butterflies like our bottlebrush.Went all the way to Beverley to get a new battery In my watch, a foreign voyage over the Humber bridge, over an hour. Went to the place it was purchased from. I owed Mrs 1DC a bracelet for Christmas, which she hadn't found yet! She saw a ruby and diamond ring that she wanted to substitute for said bracelet so a deal was done. Result is she gets her Christmas present,I get a new battery in my watch. Said watch is a smart watch that twins with my smart phone, trouble is it won't twin and seems after investigation that battery may not have been put in watch properly. A second foreign going voyage will be required to the land of the Yorkies to have watch checked. I know a normal person with common sense would have had the watch checked before he left the shop..Been a nice day on the Humber with blue sky, contrails the lot!,only started raining on the way home..

There are normal people with common sense ? An interesting presumption. OFSO is not one of them.

I believe there are repair shops where you can "Watch batteries fitted."

Useful if you should ever have the need to change your own watch battery.

The trouble with common sense is that it is not common anymore. The day started as a blue dome day and it should stay like that with no rain predicted
for the rest of the day, so sayeth the reader of the chicken entrails. Should this be the case, the lawns will be due their hair grass cut.

And now the cloud rolls in and the temperature drops. Oh well, off for scans.

Have had several days of warmish weather and northerlies, has not been below around 19°C, is 24.1°C at the moment.
That will change as a southerly rolls in later.

Good luck to all those with medical appointments.

Mrs OFSOs birthday. Lunch up town and then I go off for a spot of the usual. Last one. As she's on holiday today, I said goodby to the charming Australian radiologist yesterday and I added "hope I never see you again..."

Been a warm day on the Humber, about 19C. Yesterday morning Mrs 1DC said she wanted to buy a lottery ticket and asked me how to do it, so on our way out I stopped at the post office in the village and told her to go in and buy one. Today she asked me how to check it, I found the numbers for her and she has won £30. I expect she will buy another ticket when she goes to collect her winnings!!
About 15 miles away we have a massive garden centre and herself went there today with one of her luncheon mates, on the way back she thinks she may have got a speeding ticket which will out weigh the lottery winnings. Apparently the nasty, devious policeman wasn't in his usual spot where he was supposed to be but a bit further on around the corner, how treacherous is that? She is trying to work out if enough time has elapsed since the last time she was caught so she will get away with the training course instead of the points on the licence.
Of course if you ask, I, who has never had a speeding ticket in his life, is the only one who speeds in the family =)) =)) =))

Mrs Jim also judges it to be soooo unfair that I've only had one ticket, ever, while she has never had a totally clean license since I ferst met her 40 years back.

She attributes it to luck, but we all know it's supreme skill, naturally. There might be, also, a clue or two, in that when I'm driving she might randomly say stuff like "why are you slowing down?" or "Where did he come from?"

Morning folks. Broken sunshine. Grass cutting going on, what is left of it. He is doing his usual of treating it like a vacuum cleaner going backwards and forwards instead of in straight lines ^!

Greetings,

17°c, 19°c predicted by the soothsayer.

Blue. The day to day variation in temperature is unusual and takes some getting used to.

A visit to Ginger the Doctor is the highlight of the day, she will have ECG results.
I wonder if her hair colour is real, not many gingers in Spain.
