Off to the Lung specialist for him to determine the likelihood of my seeing a few more years on this earth, not doing too bad, as so far I have outlived
the 5 years he originally predicted back 2019 when he studied an Xray of the stomach taken back in 2015, this also captured the lower parts of the lungs
which showed the IPF was present then. His concern now is that the lung capacity tests have rapidily fallen over the last 12 months , hence my visit to
see how it's progressing.

The highlight of the day is lunch with Little Brother and friends, I mean the food not meeting LB although it’s five years since I last saw him.

The Belgians with the Aparthotel at the top of the next hill are extending it. This will be illegal with current planning laws.
I hope the council earmarks it for bulldozing. Belgians, of which we have a few, seem to think they can build anything.

Have been having problems with our security system since changing the base station. In the past two weeks I have spoken to every "technician" between here and Manila, wasted hours on the phone, when finally I was transferred to an "expert technician." Apparently the others were only so-so! She successsfully diagnosed that the app was causing the problem. After 10 minutes problem fixed. What a pain in the bum it's been. Still, after all the diagnostic test I was forced to perform, I think I can fix any future problems myself. Maybe I should become an expert technician?

Weather here has been glorious. Pottering trousers on and off I went. Had to have an Epsom salts soak last night-might have overdone it. Everything is creaking and complaining. Old age is a bugger (but better than the alternative )

Meanwhile I am back in circulation from the hospital after my gut-prune.

It was an eventful stay which extended longer than anticipated.

I have been granted a bill of full health after extensive tests and a scan to investigate a suspected problem which turned out to be non-existent.
Still tender in places, but not unexpected except in extent. I had thought that it would be a non-event except for the time taken.

It was just an op to remove polyps from my rear exhaust internal pipe, but it transpires that they were part of my body and not dangling free to be snipped-off (as I had imagined).
It seems that there are feelings within that part of (at least my) anatomy.

The surgeon(s) were fastidious in their investigations of the after-symptoms and have graciously declared 'no fault found' with their work.

The eventfulness came from my fellow bedmates (not literally).
One arrival took to his bed as soon as he arrived mid-day and then proceeded to emit the loudest and most raucous snoring I have ever heard, which extended throughout the night and again the following night.
I cannot imagine any partner putting up with that degree of cacophony.

Then there was the disaster that ensued for the nurses when his colostomy bag burst in the night.
Apparently it was not a pretty sight.

And these 'angels' rectify the situation (along with other bed-wetting occurrences - some caused by simple spilling of a water jug) seemingly without complaint.

As a result. recent days have seen me somewhat deprived of sleep.

My only residual slight concern is that, so far, my visits to the the bathroom have been confined to having pees - perhaps understandable as the days prior to the operation were devoted to a purge and fasting.

The question from the consultant also highlights my absence of the passing wind that traditionally accompanies such situations.

Moderator/Admin please see fit to move this p*st to a more suitable location if it offends (I wouldn't dream of uttering this subject to the ladies of the conservatoire within the sheltered housing of my abode).

Last night I woke up after the noise of my mobile phone falling off the bed onto the floor left me totally and completely disorientated with not a clue as to where I was, a concept that persisted for about a minute.
I couldn't understand where the features of my own room had disappeared to.

The results from my visit to the lung specialist yesterday were those that gave me a lot of confidence towards my celebrating a bit longer before I shuffle
off this mortal coil, reason, there has been minimal progression in the scarring of the lungs over the last 8 years, this leads him to the diagnosis that I
fall into the 1% that will possibly pass due to some other illness and we will therefore just keep monitoring the IPF. He was not concerned about the low
lung capacity test in November last year, this is due to the excessive drop from the previous readings without any advancement in the fibrosis, finger oxy monitor gave a reading of 97 so he was happy with that.--- So life goes ON.-- -
