Morning folks. Sunny will get into the 30s. Sounds like a Church service going on on the boat. House keeper playing gospel music. A very expensive week. Thatch to be bought which is considerably more than first thought. Accountants paid their astronomical fee for just pushing a few buttons. Safari company to be paid for a break in August for someone's significant birthday. High season, very expensive. Airline ticket to be purchased for Greece. Town tomorrow I better get my fiddle out and stand outside the shops cap on the floor.

^ The full Moon was setting as I attended the Anzac Day Dawn Service this morning: very moving as always to be part of a large, silent, and utterly respectful crowd awaiting the commencement of the service.
Wore my father's medals, carried my grandfather's; held some sprigs of rosemary for loved ones - these I placed later on my parents' grave.

Thanks to all overseas friends who are thinking of our day of commemoration. For me, a day of quiet contemplation.

Clear blue sky now, currently 13C, forecast max 21C.

^ thank you, Opsboi.

I see #1 tracked flight just now on Flightradar24 is PDN01, RNZAF Poseidon.
Just north of Christchurch at the moment.
She flew by me but downwind and I never noticed, botheration!

The rumble of noise from C130 J Hercules as they departed Richmond Air Base for flyovers at this morning's ANZAC Day services was a welcome sound, it
shows that all the courageous men and women who gave their lives for this country and New Zealand will never be forgotten
This made me look up if there were other flyovers planned, I think that given this list the RAAF must have had all their A/C engaged in the flyovers

LEST WE FORGET.

They came from far away to our defence. Mostly forgotten in Europe. Should not be. R I P to those brave men and women

G’day

17°c, The soothsayer is going for 22°c
Back to Blue with wispy high cloud, hardly worth the name. Flat Calmish.

I shall do some pool cleaning as it still has half the garden in it with a top covering of algae.

I am threatened with the garden centre this afternoon, I only get that when there will be lifting involved.

I committed aviation for about 40 years and in all that time I don't think a year passed without the French ATC having a strike.

Apparently not all the sectors that were due to go on strike, did so. Very unusual.

Türkiye is very respectful to the ANZAC graves and sites.

And has been since Kemal Ataturk. Even during the war there was a grudging respect between the two armies. When I was in primary school we had a teacher who was an Anzac. Each year he would give us a talk about Gallipoli, and while they were trying to kill each other, there was no real hatred...except for Churchill.
