Probably because they don't have to import the elephant grass?

G’day

16°c, The soothsayer was going for 21°c best of 18°c
Full overcast, but we have lost the wind best gust 10km/h

Good lunch and we didn’t fall out, quite an achievement.

The Belgians with the Aparthotel at the top of the next hill are extending it. Another delivery of a serious quantity of building material.

Good news Bob

Good news Bob....Grimsby Town have managed to stay in the second division for next season and made a few people happy. I expect that means we will keep the unpopular manager.
A few years ago Mrs 1DC and I spent three months wintering in an apartment in Moraira on the Coast Blanca, every afternoon at 1645 a scruffy Belgian plated SUV would arrive at the park opposite our apartment and an equally scruffy fat Belgian would get out with his dog walk about ten yards to the entrance to the park where the dog would have a crap. The fat Belgian would then depart without cleaning up the mess and this went on for just about every day that we were there. Shouldn't have expected anything else, i suppose.
Been a reasonable day on the Humber with a cool wind and I got a bacon sandwich.Got wordl in two, anyone else do it?

Afternoon all, nice warm day here. Just got back from the Leonberger Nationals in New Mexico. They finished last week but we took an extra one to drive back more slowly. Visited Roswell to see the aliens, White Sands and the cliff dwellings at Gila, as well as Los Alamos. Yesterday was the Petrified Forest in Arizona, stayed last night in Mojave near the space port, and then straight home today. Now got to unpack the van.

No conformation success at Nationals, but we entered Cassini for the Rally Novice and he got two passes, which we weren't expecting based on his last performance in class, so that's a nice surprise. He just needs one more for his title now.

Good morning all, the morning started out as clear blue sky, but is starting to cloud over. Currently 11C, forecast max 22C. Head cold appears to have disappeared overnight.

Well, Sunday is here again and that means giving the house a clean, after that the rest of the day shall be mine to do as I please, sitting on my bum seems
to be leading the race at present, so I will give up thinking about other things that I might be required to do. :D

As on Saturday, the morning fog has cleared to bright sunshine and blue skies.
15°C and rising.

Heard a Fantail chirping around outside.

Gin clear, almost calm wind, and warming up nicely.
Just as well as I have a huge amount to do this year.
This week's job include building the second floor of my barn, digging my veggie patches, building 3 raised beds, and prepping for re-insulating and re-siding most of the outside of the house.
In fact, this lot, plus fitting a heat pump, will take about a month.
..and rebuilding the lawn tractor transmission, and .., and ....

Started today in Heattech Super as so cold in Teddington at seven am, then changed into short sleeve shirt at LHR for flight back, changed back into Heattech as soon as entered Spanish house. Woodstove lit, central heating on. House is damned cold compared with UK flat which never goes below 22°.....

Good morning all, Clear blue skies here, Currently 12C, forecast max 23C.
Had a couple of good walks yesterday, but woke up at 0200 and couldn't get back to sleep, probably due to Prednisone. Dose reduces today. Usually I don't have any trouble sleeping as long as I've had some exercise. Finished up just lying listening to the radio. Don't feel too bad this morning. Housework day today.

Went down to London yesterday to preach at the closing of my last church. Melancholy, but good to see so many old friends.
Gave ourselves a treat by going to our favourite Italian restaurant for familiar nosh. Good meal, once we found the place - it's moved about half a mile down Finchley High Road - and paying was a bit of a shock too - £90 for a couple of dishes which would have cost about £50 in Derbyshire. Hey-ho

Always good to be back to one's own bed.

First official 100o F temp. recorded today. [-X
I have managed to not use the A/C yet as overnight temps are cool enough to leave doors and windows open then close them as OAT equals indoor temp. #:-S
Not looking forward to electric bills when 24/7 A/C will be necessary. :-ss :-q
