Doctors, certainly here, work on 10 minute appointments though I was told I could book a double.
I know patients can often not be aware how long they need, or once with the doctor will carpe diem, but our dentist effectively does a triage. Your first appointment will be an inspection and perhaps a prescription. Their follow up will be for a specific time.

Well I was 40 minutes late getting in the chair, got my 80€ worth, took her an hour to get it out !
Four phials of Anaesthetic and I think two stitches.
I am now becoming sore as the anaesthetic wears off.

There was a lady on Radio Lincolnshire today complaining that she had booked her booster appointment at Boston and when she got there for her appointment, the place was so busy she was told there was a 90 minute waiting time. There were couple of other things she was unhappy about as well, the heat in the place and the lack of ventilation and a came across as someone looking for something to complain about. That said, the ULHT blokes answering her questions did acknowledge that Boston was a busy vaccination centre but would look into her complaint.tango15 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 10:02 pm
.... When I had my third jab (in the local town's Hindu Social Centre), there was no queue of people as there was for the first two jabs, merely a trickle. An elderly neighbour, who received her call-up a few days after me, was offered both of the local clinics. If the reporting system is as poorly joined-up as the vaccination system, I would not be surprised to learn that the figures are misrepresentative.

There is a disturbing trend on this site for contributors to go to bed early... possibly to avoid Jo Brand who is on every TV channel simultaneously or even at the same time.

No rain as yet, is coming from the East which is unusual.
Gusting 50km/hr + though, a cold wind.
Was not expecting wind so loose items are flying round outside and the garden is in the cemen pond.

Morning folks. Sun and wind forecast. Local reservoir level very low and no rain in sight. TV news announces vulcanologists setting up some kind of Institute at our local group of inert volcanos.

Madrid has ruled that fines imposed on people for leaving their municipality during lockdown were unconstitutional and must be repaid. In Catalunia that was €3.1 million, even though less than half the people who were fined bothered to pay. Lockdown itself has already been ruled an infringement of citizen's rights.

Morning folks, nice day. Can't book our doctor here because she is aeromed and may be out. For the rare dental appointment I always ask for the first one. That didn't work once he was 30 mins late into work. Very strange mentality here with the NRs. They are more than happy to stand in a queue for hours. Means they do not have to work. For the main bank here you can queue for at least 3 hrs. Our bank is up market (& expensive) so you walk straight in.

Good Morning.
No rain overnight, but a high wind which has now goned off somewhere else. 18c in a mainly blue sky.
Had a mixed bacon ( Irish, Spanish and Dutch) butty for breakfast.

Sign of aging Woody of you couldn't remember
We used to do an annual refresher at RAF Lindholme, on arrival, poke head into bar, then check in. On going back to the bar Ray Plumber had pulled your pint and got a pork pie out.
Always good after a time to be greeted by Good morning Mr B...

Grandsons stayed overnight....woken by #2 at 05.45 "Grandad...can I go to the toilet please". "Yes, of course". "OK Grandad, I'll go when I need a wee". Eyelids currently feel like they're loaded with lead.

'Morning,
Sun out in a clear sky, 20c for a mere 23c, no rain overnight.
The wind subsided as the night wore on.
Feeling strange in the head and sore in the jaw.
Still, things to do, places to go.......
