I claim the prize for the first snow this coming winter!!
Expect lots of incoming from our Southern Hemisphere correspondents about just finished winter :D

It’s absolutely hammering it down here in the Royal Borough, high of 20 C forecast.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Any hint of a recall to BA yet, Woody?

Had a phone call last week and they said they’re working through the admin stuff, ID passes , training etc for my return, but no definite date yet.

Morning folks. Cracking spring day should make mid 30's. Grass cutting taking place.

Sounds promising Woody. Can you remember the way there?

Morning.

Pouring down. Should help extinguishing the fire.

Woody. BA will need you back as they are persisting in not operating from LGW this winter.

LHR is costly, inconveinient and time consuming for me, so, with a lack of flights available at reasonable times and days from all operators on AGP-LGW route, have booked inbound on Cityflyer into LCY for €63 in November and back on eJ from LGW at reasonable base fare of £17.

I think that everyone’s favourite loco is operating AGP- LGW starting next month

Hola,
20c ± Guess 29c, steady light rain. Sufficient to wash the dust off the cars.
As said will help with the fire although it looks to be moving North away from the Fire now.

What to do is unknown, awaiting orders.

Quite a lot of earthquake activity around the Canary Islands 3.8/3.9.

Brother and wife remain asymptomatic in Quarantine.

Drizzling with cloud on the hills, put the heating on for half an hour earlier. Just back from a routine blood test - had a laugh with the nurse at a medical TV programme a few days ago where a young lad covered in tattoos refused to have an intravenous pain killer as he was afraid of needles!!

Supposed to be training outside today. I don't mind the cold and I even trained in the snow, but rain? Yuck. No thanks.
A few of my BA mates have been recalled, likewise some Virgin Atlantic folks. The bloke's still on 50% though. Finger's crossed for some sensible news from the UK govt.
I won't hold my breath...
Meanwhile we're still flat out like a lizard drinking and have just opened up recruitment.

Managed to get into the fang farrier who's just re-started doing routine inspections for a very much delayed check-up - last one was two years ago; alles gut and told to come back in 6 months. :-bd

Chucking it down at the moment and me mates doing diggery stuff on me canal have decided to knock today's work on the head - can't blame them. We're re-instating the original (1797) slipway at Woolsthorpe ( not PN's Woolsthorpe) and there's plenty of clarts to contend with without the rain making it worse.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

Drove down to pay the foundry for the new sculpture works this morning and Mrs OFSO took them two bottles of wine for being so helpful and a bottle of good olive oil for the black guy who is a Moslem. (Known him for years). We also took two unwanted sculptures to be melted down and recycled. However the foundry didn't want them as lead content too high. We said just scrap them then, no, said the guys, we'll refinish them and do new patinas - for free, our present to you. Good people.

4ma, you go to the wrong one then 😁. We use an NHS on in Oakham and they were open for normal business back in March. They do 12x7 appointments with strict one out one in (patients that is) and gave us our next 6 month check appts then for next month.
I even had a crown fitted, originally planned for July last year.

Mrs 1DC's cousin has just moved up to the East Riding from down south and so far has tried to join ten dentists in the area with no luck, not even after offering to go private. they were accepted into the local GP complete with face to face appointments and covid jabs within a week off getting here.
Mrs 1DC swopped her Merc for a Lexus today, I had to drive it home from the garage cos she wants some time to figure out how it works! Certainly a lovely car to drive.

Off to bed after my evening walk. Breezy but south wind full of moisture: arrived home soaking wet with perspiration, as usual. Ambushed by Little Cat: luckily I was carrying cat food.

Morning folks. Off to town today for the armed robbery court case. Meeting with the prosecutor this afternoon then stay overnight in town and court 08.00 tomorrow, This is the third attempt. We will be glad to get it all over with. They say that it will take three days, two for the case and then the sentencing. We only have to go and say our bit then bugger off. Pretty sure we will be called first. After all we were the first at the scene of the crime. :YMPARTY:
