Well another day over and deeper in debt.
Been a high haze all day high 22C

Woke to a sickness and diarrhoea event of massive proportions, vomit in four different sights and a strip of diarrhoea 4m long.

Naturally, as we expect, I am useless until there is a clear up of this sort then I OK for the day. most men understand.

One is not cooking tonight.

I'm still recovering from the effects on my digestive system of the three weeks of mild painkillers for my back. Codeine especially blocks one up. All the best, Wodders.

Painting a canal boat with a 4" paintbrush is not something that can be done in 10 minutes.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

Car goes airborne, flips on Los Angeles freeway after hitting tire that popped off truck

https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/watch ... th-freeway

LOS ANGELES - A car was sent flying into the air, flipping over, after a tire from the truck next to it on a Chatsworth freeway flew off earlier this week.

The dashcam of Anoop Khatra's Tesla captured the scene on the Ronald Reagan Freeway on Thursday. In the video, a dark Kia Soul is seen passing the driver on the left, pulling even with a silver pickup truck. Then, without warning, the truck's front left tire shoots out in front of the Soul.

The driver of the Kia Soul has no time to react before driving head-on into the tire, sending the car flying several feet into the air. The car then landed on its nose, and rolled over on the highway before skidding to a stop. To add insult to injury, the tire that caused the wreck then rolls into the back of the black car as it comes to a stop.

While this happened, the silver pickup truck skidded to the side of the highway.

In a statement to Storyful, the Los Angeles Police Department said that there were no major injuries as a result of the incident.

Pretty obvious that truck has illegally wide tires all round.
It looks to be the slight right turn to steady the truck in the new, faster lane that finally causes the failure, coupled with the increased bending moment caused by the overwide tires.

Overcast lowering, fresh breeze, raining, 6.8°C. Pleased to see the rain, actually. Apparently sleet and snow precipitating elsewhere at higher altitudes.

One of the neighbours has a Pittosporum tenuifolium hedge, quick-growing, evergreen, needs frequent trimming. At the moment it's about eight feet wide and the same high, encroaching on their clothesline, collapsing a bit under the weight of raindrops.
I think they are inclined to Let Things Go, their camellia hedge is about twenty feet high.

Heavy overcast, occasional squalls of graupel and rain, 6.1°C;
settled in and watched "To Have and Have Not" on dvd.
