Who decided that 0430 was a good start time for a shift, especially after 18 months furlough :-o

Morning folks. Town today to sort out a few things. New CCTV is fantastic but they have left a big mess. Told our staff not to do a thing. They can clear it up when they come back on Monday. Wonder how easy it is to make the one looking over the lagoon into a web cam. A hippo cam.

Morning.

I presume we are to presume it's FRIDAY and carry on as normal. As HF may be delayed/indisposed because of his UTI, I shall use the delegated power to declare FRIDAY open !

Boars attacking the surround of the swimming pool this morning again. Not legal hunting season on them for another week.

Taking Ed for a haircut this morning.

Only 16c and cloudy.

Thanks Ibbie. Had a bit of a lie in this morning to make up for the 10 visits to
the loo in the night.

Mr Sun is on show this morning. Bit parky though at only 8°C. High of 13 forecast.
Off into Derby today to meet up with my blind mate and then a belated Birthday
Lunch with the womenfolk after a gargle at the Old Bell Inn. Might be pushing it a
bit but I find I can shuffle along quite successfully now without the accompanying
groans and moans. :D

Greetings Gentlefolk,
half an hour later and 17c guess 25c.
High cloud to burn off.

We have found a new Estate Agent, not the usual 4% commission but 999€ fixed fee. He may have a new customer, we will see next week.

Been out to collect Ed, who is tired after the ordeal of having his hair and claws cut.

In the meantime, the boars are asleep in a hollow close to the pool. Apparently it is the Ayuntamiento who are meant to deal with them. They have been informed, as to whether they do anything is another matter.

Ibbie, up here the Ajuntament requires a licence to hunt at night, when the boars come out, and a licence to shoot within the urbasnisstion. By the time the paperwork is done it's springtime and they have all pissed off back over the Pyrenees into France. The boars I mean.

Hot drive back from town at midday. 40°C. My new computer took 2 hrs to set up after I buggered it up. Mrs Ex-Ascot's has been declared dead. Money transferred from the UK and a huge list of papers obtained from the department of immigration to apply for our permanent residency. Tried to tax the big motor and told it was 'flagged' after my no driving licence incident. I paid the fine too early so it was flagged afterwards, can't pay tax. There is a post office at the airport and a police station. 2 min walk between the two. If the unflagging officer hadn't been on the bog it would have taken 5 mins to fix. Anyway it took 10.

Apostrophe 's' She is sitting here drinking a pre-lunch scotch in the memory of her dead computer. She is thinking of getting a tablet instead of a laptop. Any opinions? She thinks it may be easier to transport to Greece.

My Huawei is superb. The Xiaomi tablet is even better. Super screen, big storage, battery lasts ages. Xiaomi battery technology beats everything. Phone two days, wristband 21 days, the cat 24 hours. Well, maybe not the last.

Mrs 1DC hardly uses her laptop now she has a tablet, when the laptop goes sick it will not be replaced. The tablet was also less than half the price.

Which model Xiaomi?
I looked on their website at the Model 4 4Gb/64Gb.
$265. Sold out.

Sympathy! Some of our more recent flights have left around dawn, and one has been surprised several times by the enormity of the activity at airports before 5AM local.

We enjoy travel, but not alarm going off at 0230 to get going.

Spent most of the last two hours sitting in traffic jams. Glass of wine needed.

Moon waxing gibbous in the window. Tis a beautiful evening, clear skies, and I have switched off the light and am watching the sky though Rose tinted glasses...

"Truth is beauty, beauty is truth"....

No matter how hard, and sometimes screwed up life is, it is worth every nanosecond, and that moon makes it all worth it somehow...
