Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
Ric and llondel, I live in a city and I am aware that for quantities over 1000 litre the prices pre litre are lower plus for some reason I thought that the oil in ricardian's case is brought from the mainland rather than being stored in the island. Ricardian was there a price difference between the two companies?
Since Sunday evening the SMS on my mobile were shown in a much larger font size. After a random visit at telcom provider it was fixed to normal size: all it takes is to open up or shrink the size is to move two fingers close or apart.

Morning folks.
Part cloudy but just 7c. It is said to be capable of 15c later.
Car loaded for trip to recycling bins and from there to farmacia to see what drugs are due to me this week.

Morning folks. OFSO you have to do your laundry first thing we have to wait for sun. Why warmer higher up?
Overcast but warm. We have a lunch guest inbound. Trying to get my hair cut for the court case next week. It only takes 5 minutes but having difficulty. She could start at 07.55 and make a ridiculous extra €15.

Oil is stored in bulk on mainland Orkney and delivered to customers in the Northern Isles (Stronsay, Sanday, Westray, Eday, North Ronaldsay) by tanker by two firms - Highland Fuels & Scottish Fuels. There was a price difference between the two companies but as orders were placed at different times for differing amounts of oil any comparison of price is meaningless.Rwy in Sight wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 5:38 amRic and llondel, I live in a city and I am aware that for quantities over 1000 litre the prices pre litre are lower plus for some reason I thought that the oil in ricardian's case is brought from the mainland rather than being stored in the island. Warmer higher up as we are on a south-facing 40° slope. Never get frosts as air can't pool. Down below all is white st 7am.

Had a nice job today that kept me warm - I was the slipway rails warmer-upperer so my oppo could paint them with bitumen paint. The job entailed me holding a twin-jet propane burner to heat and dry the rails before applying the paint. After that, it was back into the mess room to sit beside the log-burner and sup tea.

So, 60 years of unblemished driving record, of course enforcement was not so effective in those days.
Been in data comm since we formed the bits individually with a Morse key.

Had a consultation with a cardiologist this morning. Seems I may have angina and an angiogram is being arranged. Meantime will be having aspirin and some other things to take. First time in my life I have had to take regular medication. Nice birthday present, but I suppose it goes with getting older.

I've been taking the daily aspirin since a covid-related thrombosis in 2020. By all accounts a useful supplement.

Morning folks. Cloud building up but warm. Got chaps in finishing the carpet fitting and putting a new carpet into the guest accommodation. It is just a big square section as you enter. Fruit and veg watering going on. I have threatened him with death if he overwaters the fruit trees. We have so many split oranges. I have told him many times.
She has done it again and this time very dramatically. Seems that the A380 had to do 11 passes before they got it right or probably more like until the director was happy with the shot:

I was told to take Aspirin for the rest of my life following the insertion of an arterial stent many years ago, plus some other Blood Pressure reducing drug, the name of which I can't pronounce, never mind spell ! The prescribed Aspirin is a very small, pink pill, and maybe it is doing its job, but a side effect is to discourage clotting when I accidentally cut myself, which can be a nuisance when not at home with a plentiful supply of Elastoplast to hand........I've been taking the daily aspirin since ........

Morning folks.
It's Thursday and another Art for Art's Sake Day.
I'm on a drug thinning medication called Pradaxa , two capsules per day, a stage above an aspirin a day.
Only 8c and cloudy here.

You and me both Boac.
I seem to remember from the last one that after the elevator stops they have a climb of about an hour up ladders to get to the top.

Pie full of shepherds to make for dinner.
Oh yes, the filling that Graciella did yesterday came off last night .......

I took a daily 75mg Aspirin for a few years but had to stop as it gave me a duodenal ulcer.
