Is olive oil readily available overseas?
Olive oil is becoming harder to find on supermarket shelves.
Extreme weather in Europe has made olive growing difficult and put the squeeze on global supply.
The average price of a litre of oil has risen by more than 30% in two years.
A global shortage of olive oil has reached New Zealand, with the bottled gold becoming increasingly difficult to find.

And as supplies run low, consumers can expect to pay more for the staple ingredient.
...
Stuff: Where is all the olive oil?

Suddenly grey and miserable out. Where did the beautiful sunny morning go.....

Olive oil still available in Spain, but you have to go for the top brands, which are not cheap.

Addendum: sun out again. Changes faster than a whores...(deleted)

Morning folks. Sunny not too hot. At safari camp awaiting a lunch guest. The one that got beaten up in a robbery last month. She is here and OK.

Odysea organic olive oil from Crete was on offer in Sainsburys this morning, £7.80 for 500ml instead of the normal price of £10.20.

No jackdaws under the solar panels for three days now. Maybe they have got the message

Today the laundry is being dried by wind and solar power, that is, pegged out on the line. :)

(I don't have an electric drier anyway)

As I predicted yesterday, my decision to hang my washing undercover was the wrong choice as the rain stayed away for the entire day only returning
at dusk. With luck like this, you can understand why I have never won the Lottery.

No rain, perfect day for CC outing...including a much better than average pub lunch.

Greetings,

18°c, The soothsayer is going for 21°c
Full overcast, flat calm.

For a few weeks the VW has been vibrating as I accelerate. Getting gradually worse. Been to the VW doctor this morning for a diagnostic test drive.

Flywheel diagnosed. Waiting estimate, booked in 29th for two days.
I suspect that blows my UK savings and then some.

Crema is very slowly improving the throm.

I've given up on the NHS three month wait to have a virtual physiotherapy appointment, and am going private for a proper hands on appointment this afternoon.

Beautiful blue sky here but only 12°.

It was a lovely morning here in Norfolk. Played golf, teeing off at 7.32, had a sausage bap and a couple of pints sitting in the sun outside the clubhouse afterwards, before returning home and mowing the front lawn. Time for a rest.

Been a nice day on the Humber today, plenty of sunshine but the rain has just started and is forecast until bedtime. As I am due to go out in an hour to my grumpy old mens club the rain forecast is on time!
Senility is creeping in, when I went into the bathroom this morning and started to shave it became apparent that the day before I probably didn't shave my left cheek!! All nice and smooth today though. Doctors appointment at 1030 this morning arrived at 1020 to find nine ahead of me and was eventually seen at 1145, don't know what the original delay was but apologies all around. It is necessary to look further afield for a new consultant on the CharcottMurrayTooth disease, my problem is getting a bit more complicated so we need somewhere with better expertise. My good GP is on the lookout.

Had something similar some years back. Turned out to be disintegrating engine mounts allowing metal to metal contact.
