I thought all the Stones had been granted Immortality. RIP, Charlie. Say 'hi' to Moon and Entwhistle.

Notice how the only one of the Stones who was leading a relatively quiet life, no hard drugs, no booze, no bed-hopping, passed away first?

Not being a close follower of 'The Stones', but an enjoyer of their music, I was surprised reading his obit.
He seemed to be the outlier of the group.

The band will never be the same---saw them twice: Voodoo Lounge Tour, Halloween 1994 in the Oakland Coliseum, incidentally I got free tickets that night as I had hovered over the show 2 nights earlier filming it for NBC, and then I saw them again during the "50 and Counting" tour on May 3rd, 2013 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles: This is the only picture I got of Charlie that night:

B-) Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance. B-)

RIP Charlie. First seen 1967 Cardiff.

Such a huge influence on the greatest Rock and Roll band in the World he still, at least musically, stuck to his R n B and jazz loves.

For those interested, check out some great jazz made by the Charlie Watts Quintet.

Indeed! Still, a sad loss. :(
You only live twice. Once when you're born. Once when you've looked death in the face.

You appear to have forgotten Brian Jones in making that statement. Only where it comes to passing away first though.

You can't beat the original Stones recordings with the original line up.

Brian Jones didn't pass away, if by "passing away" an accidental or voluntary demise is meant. He had become an embarrassment and was done away wiv.

Death by misadventure, the typical bland legal epitaph to the almost inevitable end to a rock and roll lifestyle. I doubt that the band cared for his behaviour by the time of his death as he was no longer a member thereof.

Killed by death as Lemmie so eloquently put it....
