First snow on Mount Canigou and The Ridge today, and central heating on tonight....

I am contemplating to move from a normal sheet to the winter duvet although I think it is weird to move around the apartment in shorts and still use a duvet.

We're getting to that time of year where morning and afternoon attire needs to be completely different. Under 10C as it gets light and still potentially 25C+ mid-afternoon. The heat from the sun with no wind or rain can still make thins quite toasty. On the plus side, it's easier for the dogs, especially if we're on the road.

I'm still wearing teeshirts, I tend to hold out longer than most people because even though I've been here long enough to be acclimatised, I still prefer the cooler weather.

Put our duvet on this afternoon. Felt quite chilly at 04:00, and Mrs Jim kicked me when I moved over to her side. Unintentionally, she claims.

I noticed your absence Jim, have you been unwell or taking a sabbatical?

Usual here in winter is the bitterly cold night. By ten the sun is up and burning hot all day. But by four p.m. it's rush indoors and put the heating on for the evening, light the wood stove, and cuddle the electric blanket. Oops, nearly said 'wife' there....

Getting jolly warm here. 34°C at the moment but a bit cloudy. We will be into the 40s soon.

Just can't keep the beer cool after it comes out of the fridge.

13C here, just been told I'm going for a walk so trying to delay it for an hour or so cos it may rain. Forecast for 20C on Thursday and Friday, reckon that will be it for this year. Hopes of a trip to Oz in the New Year looking a bit better though. The cost of a flight ticket is going up..Oz daughter will be out of Oz and home at the first opportunity so could be arguing about who is going where and when!

...and still it rains here (the white line)...winter is certainly coming....the dog took one look at it and decided he'd rather not go for a walk and preferred to stay indoors..

Rain>? Sheesh! We got it too.

Me river is thundering.

Last week it was snowing, albeit briefly and somewhat ineffectually, betwixt Invercauld and Ballater. Or so I'm reliably told by people who still live thereabouts.

Thank you. No, Jim has been lurking hereabouts... just not much to say. Not much today, either... oh yes, had me Covid booster and flu jab today, one in each arm. wot yer might call a balanced diet of jabs.
(Not even thread drift, well, not much, as Winter is coming.)

Interesting that you had both jabs at the same time. We have to wait 2 weeks between Covid & flue jabs.

Cold this morning but had to come indoors after lunch as sun is scorching hot, what with low humidity and particle-free air. Actually fell asleep at the table after finishing my dessert of Mrs OFSO's home made chocolate ice cream...

Quite pleasant so far this weekend, lurking just above 20C with a cooling breeze. Ideal dog show weather, except when it got a bit too breezy yesterday and a few people's pop-up tents popped up and then down at weird angles.
