Taxi Driver deserves a medal!
Re: Taxi Driver deserves a medal!
2014 to 2017? Smart move, that, not being 'able' to be returned.

And lost his attempt to appeal in 2017 but didn't have his benefits cancelled and wasn't considered for deportation. What the f*ck is going on. Heads should roll.

It will just be a storm in a teacup, sir, nothing to worry about. We have a firm control on our borders and immigration.

I believe black cabs lock the doors automatically, is locking of the doors in private hire cars not required ? Most modern cars have a switch to lock all doors.

Re: Taxi Driver deserves a medal!
Very often the front doors have a mechanical override, at least on the driver's side. I'd hate to be in a car where you needed the electrical system to be functioning to open the doors. There was a cautionary tale in the dog world from a chap who had his dog in a crate in the back of his car. The car caught fire, electrical system failed and he couldn't open the tailgate. He did eventually get the dog out before the fire department turned up, but I think burns and smoke inhalation for both him and the dog required treatment. After reading that it occurred to me that our minivan would have the same issue, dog in crate in the back, only easily accessible by opening the tailgate which was purely electrical in operation. At least the Transit van has mechanical locks and plenty of space to get access to dog crates if we had to vacate pronto.

True, first indication of battery failure on our Corolla is the boot being locked.

Telegraph
Like the Christian who presented at the Border Force kiosk and was asked who the four apostles were.
"Oh I don't know that, I haven't got that far yet."
Exactly what I suggested yesterday.THE Church of England was last night facing questions over its role in converting hundreds of asylum seekers – including the Liverpool suicide bomber – to Christianity, in an attempt to help them avoid deportation.
