In an abundance of caution.
Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment.

And the traditional ones die or out or are banned like the Ace of Spades or woodpiles. Where you might get pork pies is also criticised.

What of rape? Banned in Greek literature will it be similarly banned on modern culture along with pillage?

However Haystacks remain woke I think.

Nope, just think of the connotations of a roll in the hay... the outright oppressive nature of the haystack in the pantheon of sexual exploitation is wokefully obvious to those who would look for needles therein!

As for the Ace of Spades being banned, I was about to cry "oh no"... and then felt the need to post this...

Spry Crisp & Dry, rapeseed/canola oil with a smidgen of silicone added to reduce foaming.

"Ask" instead of request, as in "what is the ask"
Because they stand on the wall and say "nothing's gonna hurt you tonight, not on my watch".

"Ts and Cs" rattled off instead of Terms and Conditions

"Bucks" for dollars

"K" instead of thousand

If you're going to abbreviate thousand, it should be a lower-case "k" anyway. To me, K would be 1024, as used for data storage.
