Who started Next Generation, as in Windows NG?

Or appending the year? Microsoft was late to the party there. We had SA80 rifle, AS90 as in armoured self propelled gun, and even EFA2000.

Ma and Pa lived in the backwoods of Tennessee, they had a good life hunting and fishing and raising the kids and things were fine. The eldest daughter did well at school and ended up going to university in the big city where she met a rich city boy. Love blossomed and they decided to get married and Ma was invited to the city to see the nice modern house where they were going to live. She was very impressed and when she came home she told Pa how modern it was and did he know that they had a John in the middle of the house not right down the garden like they did. Imagine that on a freezing winter morning said Ma. Hell said Pa if they can have a John in the middle of the house so can we and he set to with his tools, dug a hole and built a John right in the middle of the house.
The wedding went well and everyone was happy. About six months later daughter said they were expecting their first child and as the time came near Ma went down to be with her offspring to help with the birth.By then it was mid summer and when Ma eventually came back to the woods after a succesfull birth she was full of excitement and satisfaction that daughter was so happily married and living in such a beautiful house. Do you know Pa she said now it is summer they don't eat inside in the heat at your daughters but they have a nice deck outside and they sit in the cool and breeze and eat and relax outside.Hell said Pa we can soon have a deck outside, it will be easier than an inside John, and sure enough before the end of the day they had a lovely outside deck all complete in time for tea.
Life went on well for about a month using the John and the deck and everyone seemed happy, but, Ma suddenly had a nervous breakdown. This was a disaster, people in the woods didn't have nervous breakdowns.Everyone was very concerned and the rich son in law paid for the best doctors in Tennessee to examine her.
The results weren't as bad as they could be and the lead Doctor gave his report.
The problem is..
She used to ***** outside and eat inside and now she eats outside and shits inside and she just can't cope with the new paradigm shift.
However do not despair it will only take her about a month to forget about this paradigm rubbish and she will be back to her normal self..

Yes, it was offered many years ago, but I politely declined - I'm glad I did now!

That is all American GG and certainly nothing that you would put into an essay or exam. When I did my Strategic Management module I had a note book full of buzz words to be sprinkled liberally amongst the scrip. Extra mark for each one, had to be in context of course. Just tried to find it but it must be on Amorgos. Problem with two locations, as some of you know, something is the wrong place.

I always understood 'quantum' to relate to the behaviour of sub-atomic particles, leading to a quantum change/jump/leap referring to an extremely small change in the general nature of things and therefore not worth considering.

'Have a nice day' - no thanks, 'nice day' is an anagram of 'cyanide'. [-X Mind you, the people who use the phrase probably don't know what cyanide is, either.

My first one is: Perfect, as an answer by any clerk, salesperson, teller, etc. filling out form.
Name: Answer. Response: Perfect. How did they know my answer was "Perfect". ~X(

Seccond, akin to Have a Good / Nice Day: "Enjoy Your Day"
I have, so far, when urged to do so by an attractive lady, resisted responding with: "Would you like to enjoy my day with me?" :D

After being subjected to an hour or so of these clichés by a seagull manager (one who flies in, makes a lot of noise, steals what he can and puts ***** on everything), a colleague, very smart young lady who later went further than the seagull ever would, asked "Can you tell us what you just said?"

Why can't I have a good two or even three?

Theoretically, you have until you next meet that person.

But it's so versatile. It could be referring to the day, the crap you're about to have, an imminent meal or even a shag.

"At this moment in time....", "We have a situation....", "Our priority is our customer's safety...", "What more do we know....".

They all make my teeth itch.
