Handsfree (Eric)

#1 Post by Ibbie » Tue Jan 11, 2022 10:34 am

I am afraid that I must inform our members, that Handsfree passed away last night.

I have just received a call from his wife, Mary, with the sad news. She requested me to inform you all.

Understandably she has a lot to do at this time and I will contact her in due course to obtain funeral arrangements.

A sad day.

Fair well MAN FRIDAY.

A kind and gentle member here, who I didn't know personally, who has clearly suffered bad health with great humour and fortitude. I am truly saddened at his loss. RIP HF.

Bloody hell, bloody hell, why does it always happen to the nice guys. He had gone thought so much with great fortitude. OK so Mike and Eric can have a chat up there. Never met Eric but we exchanged a few e-mails.

Ibbie please pass on condolences from Bots.

It’s quite amazing how you can become involved with someone that you never met, Hf was incredibly brave as he fought his health problems, with humour and fortitude, he’ll be sadly missed and Friday will definitely never be the same again. Condolences to his family.

Greatly saddened by the loss of one more of our stalwarts. He will be sorely missed. RIP Handsfree. It will be a long time before my thoughts of "It's Friday" will not be associated with thoughts of HF.

He seemed to be such a nice bloke, the way he was working through all his problems and then getting Billy, he approached life with such fortitude. Although I never met him his personality shone through his words.

Condolences to Mrs HF.

So very sad to hear this. He came across as such an inspirational person. Fridays will not be the same without his prompting!

This is sad news, damn it. I thought that he had finally got Billy tamed and was ready to resume life. One of the good ones on here who I would have been privileged to have joined for a beer or two.
Sincere condolences Mrs HF..
