My time at the PoW was earlier than that.
I haven't been in there for years now. It was a most enjoyable pub in the summer.

I loved the area. St Katherine's dock just up the road. I did my instrument rating ground exams at that old polytechnic just opposite Tower Bridge. The instructor was an ex-RAF navigator who we called Rapid Ron. Lovely bloke who had an acronym for any question relating to the course. The place had a steam driven simulator that produced a paper read out of one's holding patterns. Mine were often very squiggly. I probably spent too much time in the POW.

Good old Ron, probably long gone now. Sorry I digress!

Back to outrage about PC's etc. I have never really liked the Dell. :)

Ditto, late 50's early 60's before marriage and emigration to Dorset, didn't live near, but went once just to say that I had !
