How did the potential new owners get to choose their puppies?

It will be an enormous exercise for all involved when they leave Llondel's care.

Technically they don't choose, we assign them a puppy. However, we do ask for their preferences, and often the dog they choose is the one we would have assigned anyway. Some of it is interaction, a couple of this litter seemed to bond with specific people. One is feisty and is going to need a firm hand, so she's going to an experienced owner who is wise to the sort of things Leos get up to. In the past we've tried to make sure that if there are young children in the family, they get a calmer dog. The cameras will go offline sometime this weekend, so you'll all have to watch re-runs or turn on the TV instead.

Many thanks for all your communications (and the original 'website') that has allowed us to share in the development of your pups.

I feel that I can tell the difference between male and female (or maybe there are just natural differences in sizes).

It has been entertaining and educational watching the activities of your 'teddybears' (as they have become).

Looking forward to the next litter.

Has been lovely to watch all these little guys grow and romp and flourish.
Many happy years to them and their new owners when the time comes.
Thanks, llondel.

I'm hoping that some of them will be appearing in the show ring in the future, and/or doing other dog activities, so they may feature again when bigger.

Will the puppies get a final special meal before they are despatched to their new owners? - or will it be 'business as usual' so that they feel relaxed?

Watching a couple sparring, I wonder if this is just typical puppy rough and tumble behaviour, or whether there is any underlying aggression as they fight to be top dog?

Most of it is just noise, which can get quite loud. Sometimes it's retaliation where one accidentally bit another and the victim wants to express clear displeasure. It's business as usual, people turn up, one gets removed from the pen and never returns. I always feel sorry for the last one, although to make up, that one does get special attention because we're then in a position to do it. Orange is leaving today, she's already had her last meal here, her next one will be a bit late but at her new home.

Thanks - as usual.

Sad times for the Llondels, but exciting for the canines and their new owners.

People new to a breed have not idea how different breeds are one from another. We had one birch used to be brought back to us for grooming. Its owner said she could not handle her to groom her. Scotties being low to the ground need a lot of attention, particularly arm puts and this one was all teeth.

She was all teeth when Mrs PN went though her up and was not nice to our dogs. Mrs PN shut her in the kitchen with her mum. Lots of noise and then things went quiet. Pup cowering in the corner mum standing in front of her. I might add mum was smaller.

No problem after that.

The puppy cam has finished for now. All being well, this will return when we next have a litter.
Many thanks to Llondel for many hours of entertainment,

Just think of the chaos that they are now causing in their new homes (and the pleasure for their new owners).

One is visiting the Grand Canyon today, on his way across country to his new home. One went to Idaho, a couple are fairly local and the others went homes in the LA area.
