Another reason we are a stupid country!
Re: Another reason we are a stupid country!
Speaking of stupid countries:
The US has a shortage of Pilots.
The US has a shortage of truck drivers.
The US has a shortage of teachers.
The US has a shortage of doctors.
The US has a shortage of policemen.
Am wondering how much the next horde of those coming uninvited from the south is going to be able to do to rectify any of that.

Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment.

Sadly the US does not have a shortage of idiots in political office, and removing one usually results in replacement with another.

Well, you can add Canada to the list of stupid countries, based on those criteria Fin.
I think you can probably add nearly every country.
However, the good news is that the truck driver shortage is about to be solved by the collapsing economy

Where would I begin to put a list together of the ways in which Scotland is a stupid "country"?
To someone in Scotland, I would say "circumspice".

This is really scary, surprising that none of our Southern members have commented

Not much use in commenting, he was caught out and now the witch hunt will start. Each side of politics will now spend more time finding dirt on eachWoody wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 9:31 pmThis is really scary, surprising that none of our Southern members have commented

other and pay little heed to actually running the country. The media, newspapers, television, etc are mostly of the left-leaning variety and will play this
for all that it is worth rather than what Morrison did and why. The only thing to come out of this on any consequence is once again most of us will think
that this proves we are being run by Richard Craniums posing as politicians, most of whom would not have a bloody clue.
Re: Another reason we are a stupid country!
Probably the reason that none of us have commented is that nothing that this no-hoper did or does surprises us any more.
Strangely, while his multi-tasking is against all convention, it seems that he has done nothing illegal (probably because historically, law-makers have assumed no-one would be stupid enough to do it.) However, it raises a lot of questions. If a minister takes responsibility for the actions of his department, which minister? If I want to write to or criticise the minister, which minister? And, most importantly, why, and why in secrecy?
