Buckingham Palace has received 50,000 cards and letters of condolence - all of which will be replied to by staff wherever possible (return address available).

Just been watching "CHARLES III - THE CORONATION YEAR" on TV. A superb documentary, with photography and film work directed by our neighbour ( which frankly is why I watched it, but glad I did.) Fascinating and enthralling. How hard the King and Queen work ! What nice people they are.

+1 Just mentioned it on Trabb. Congrats to your neighbour, an outstanding production

Inevitably a kerfuffle on Farcebook describing the programme as a bit of crude propaganda. <sigh>

Whatever anyone thinks of our monarchy, surely all sane people must realise that, if we dispensed with them and adopted some form of rebublicanism, all we would end up with is even more politicians! No one in their right mind should be wishing for that. Our current monarchy have little real power ...but they stop someone else from getting it. Long may our monarchy continue.

On the plus side, it appears he wanted to exile Wimbledon football club to Belfast.
